Aloha! Hana Hou Cabin-Motel provides an opportunity to relax and enjoy your stay in a small town in rural Hawai'i, on the Big Island. Located adjacent to the Hana Hou Restaurant, you will not have to worry about cooking or searching for a great meal. The cabins are located midway between Kona and Hilo, in the Ka'u District. Remember you are right behind a popular working restaurant and it does have noise.Also you are in the country and will hear birds and chickens maybe a goat or cow...this is not a vacation condo it is a rural hawaiian motel but the beds are new and comfy.. the rooms are clean.. and the water is hot.Cable tv and in room wi fi are a plus. We are air conditioning free and use the open windows and trade winds to make us comfortable. Its a fine place to stay between Kona and Hilo and perfect for you while exploring what the southern part of the island has to offer. We do have a very nice fenced private back yard and little gazebo for your enjoyment. Relax you are in Hawaii now.

Ka'u is the perfect eco-tourist destination , and the cabin-motel is perfect for an overnight stay when visiting the volcano. Eliminate the long drive back to Kona or Hilo and visit the other sights in Kau the next day.
Each cabin has a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. There is a lovely private yard for you to enjoy lounging in the morning sunshine or relax in the cool Ka'u breeze that flows throughout the day. Grab some breakfast from our restaurant and dine in the Gazebo out back. Meet some of the friendly folks that call Na'alehu their home as well as our , hospitable restaurant staff. Each cabin is equipped with a brand new queen size bed, fresh linens and fluffy pillows. The rooms are perfect for singles or a couple. We do have floor futons for the children. For your convenience we also provide a small refrigerator and a coffee maker, which includes the famous regional Ka'u Coffee to brew at your leisure. A small cooler is provided for ice and free refills available when the restaurant is open. Special rates for longer stays are available. We do have a bar down the street a grocery market across the street ad you can flag down the Hele On Bus anywhere in town. The bus schedule is available on the internet.

These are private motel style rooms .The guests are on their own to do whatever they wish. We do have a good restaurant adjacent to the property which we run and food is available from 8 am to 7 pm. Check in is at the counter of the cafe and the girls will show you to the room. It is small and we have only 2 cabins . Parking is available
There is room for 2 people. If you have an extra person it will be an extra charge of $15/ night. We have floor futons for more than one extra person .
Aloha I am a restaurant owner in a rural picturesque southern Hawaiian town. Naalehu sits amid rolling hills and pastureland and is the only non developed coastline left in the Islands. I like to hike and fish and relax at home with my lovely dogs at my home in the mountains. I have refuberished the two small apartment rooms behind my now famous restaurant so that folks can have a nice inexpensive place to stay while exploring the southern part of the big Island. Don't worry about food you are right in the backyard of the famous Hana Hou Restaurant the "HUB of Aloha" in our quaint town. Good home cookin and friendly people will make you feel e stay for a few days and relax ,we would love to meet you.
