I enjoyed my stay at Scott's place and also sightseeing in Yongin very much! Scott is a very pleasant host and he was always very quick to respond to my needs/questions. : D Check-in was a breeze. If I ever come to Yongin again, I would definitely stay here again!
The apartment itself has a unique and cool design which I liked! Apartment is loft style which consists of a living area in the lower floor and sleep/rest area on the upper floor. There is a huge window that lets in a lot of light (which I liked very much) and the view is of the main road in this area (seems to be the most happening place in this area, lots of eateries that opens until late). Apartment is clean and everything basic is provided (shampoo, etc), so it is literally just bring your own luggage and stay at this place. A word of caution however, the ceiling at this place is not very high and I estimate people who are over 185cm might have a little bit of trouble.
The apartment is located in one of the more happening place in this neighbourhood, I believe. There is Daiso (popular franchise shop) right at the first level of the same building. Just next door on the next building there is Seulbing (a popular Korean dessert cafe). There are quite a few convenience shops nearby that should have everything you need for a comfortable stay. : D There are many eating places along the street where the apartment is facing (even a fried chicken shop). I've checked the opening hours and most of them will open late (a few will open until 2am, it was on the weekend, not sure about weekdays) so you should never need to worry about going hungry. Just a word of caution though, there is a chance there will be people who drank too much alcohol and talk loudly (especially on Friday and Saturday nights). For me, I actually enjoy living in a lively area so it was no problem for me at all.
If you are arriving from Giheung station, the apartment is about 10 minutes walk away. Unfortunately, the most part of it is uphill. (TIP: If you are arriving with a heavy luggage from Giheung station, there are taxis nearby the station that can take you there in less than 5 minutes for about 3,000 won) : D On the way there, you will most likely pass by a coffee chain shop called 'Ediya Coffee', remember this place because most likely there will be taxis waiting at the taxi stand opposite this coffee shop. This place is a very short walk away from the apartment, and I could always get a taxi from this place to most places in Yongin (including the journey back to Giheung station on check out day). : D
