Taste your way through African history in Berlin Kreuzberg

The Berlin neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln are renowned for their multicultural character. Join me for a culinary tour that explores decolonial narratives around food, highlighting the global influences that have shaped African and German cuisines. • Meet at Sahara Imbiss, a beloved Sudanese restaurant, where we’ll start with appetizers and talk about the Arab and British influences on Sudanese cuisine. • Next, we’ll walk to nearby Ethiopian and German restaurants, tasting a few dishes at each place. We’ll discuss the historical ties between Ethiopia and Germany as well as the international origins of favorite German dishes like döner kebab. • We’ll conclude by savoring West African dishes at a fourth restaurant as we reflect on how culinary traditions evolve in a globalized world. Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll sample an array of drinks and vegetarian dishes, and leave with my recommendations for other Berlin restaurants to explore.

Closing remarks and Farewell Guests will receive Rotem’s handmade artistic talisman as a souvenir. You are encouraged to ask questions and engage in open conversation about the significance of food in in cultural identity and artistic expression.

Tour the World of Craft Spirits

Here is a chance to have a tour of craft distilling without leaving your table. We offer two tastings which you can choose from: 1. German and Austrian Fruit Brandies ("Brände" in German, also known as "Schnaps".) You get a selection of 5 different products, 2cl each, representing some of our favourite Brände. 2. Grappa from small farms in Piemonte and Tuscany. We have a large selection of Grappa, a grape-based spirit with an ancient tradition in Northern Italy. You get a selection of 5 different Grappa's, 2cl each As extras you can also order from our menu of craft snacks, including duck salami from Barcelona or spicy tuna from Portugal, or French wild boar paté, or olive or tomato toast. Tour the World of Gin -- and Tonic

Everybody loves Gin (& Tonic) ! But did you know that Gin actually comes from the Netherlands in the 16th century and used to be made like unaged Whisky - aka Moonshine ? Here is a chance to take a tour of the World of Gin, sampling 5 different high quality craft Gins from Scotland, Germany, the US, Netherlands, and France - along with a bonus sample of "Old Jenever" and a bonus tasting of "Old Tom" Gin which is what Gin used to be like 200 years ago. The Beavis Bar in Berlin Mitte is Europe's Craft Spirits paradise, with over 1400 different spirits from all over the world. Jon and Rik will take you on a tour of the world of Gin - and you will get to make your own Gin & Tonic as well as sample pure Gin. Of course the tonic is special as well: we use no industrial products and so the tonic is "Tonic Syrup" - the way it was made before industry started mass-producing bottled water. It is a great way to taste and learn to appreciate and really enjoy these wonderful Gin flavors. The Beavis Bar won the prize "Best Bar" at the Berlin Craft Spirits Festival - Europe's premier Craft Spirits event. The bar is world-famous for its collection and friendly people. We love authentic and hand-made spirits and here you can sample so many of them.

BERLIN belongs to nobody… and everybody as well. You just have to find it. So, we take our chance to help you have a Chill Ease night and try to find your Berlin. We start from the famous Warschauer Brücke by the end of the East Side Gallery, and I will give you a brief. Remember, even though Berlin is not known as a typical German city, we are in the Deutschland, and everything has a reason. Well, be attentive. Then for the welcome shots, we hit the bar with a local flair in the district that has a lot to offer, including the legendary Watergate with the large window offering magnificent views of the river Spree. After, we move to the area where the Pubs that go back decades are just as popular as newer bars. We will visit the one that for sure offers beer for everyone. With a huge selection of drinks, you get the opportunity to try some unique beers. Then, we continue our way to the neighborhood that once had the reputation as one of the wildest party districts, and we finish at the place that offers you a lot. Chill, easy, chill easy, or a hanger to hang the jacket around the dance floor.
