“If you like evening or morning walks, the Sea Point Promenade is a beautiful walk next to the ocean, there are often dog walkers, runners and cyclists on this route. If you're feeling up to it, you can walk all the way around the cost to Clifton beaches and end up in Camps Bay. ”

“Take your kids for a bicycle ride with a difference! Great fun for the family and a great restaurant for hungry tummies afterwards - Open Door restaurant. Situated at Constantia Uitsig wine farm, 10 minutes drive from the cottage. You can rent bikes from Trail and Tar which is just around the corner at Forest Glade House shopping centre on Tokai Road.”

“There is a trail going up to the top. We normally go up from Glencairn Heights, and follow the trail up to the beacon. Its only about 30 mins, and the view from the top is so rewarding for so little effort. You look out at False Bay over Fishoek and Muizenberg to the left and towards Simonstown to the right. you feel on top of the world!”

Krásná vyhlídka
“As one of the best known and most popular hiking trails up Lion’s Head, this is a must for visitors to Cape Town that want to experience the true South African outdoors. This trail takes only one to two hours to complete and is relatively easy, even for those that do not often hike. It consists of a series of routes, all of which end at the Lion’s Head. From these heights, awe-inspiring views of the Mother City can be savoured. These views include the cultural and historical hub of the Bo-Kaap, the iconic Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Hout Bay, the revamped Cape Town Stadium, and Robben Island in the distance. ”

“If you enjoy a stroll on the mountain, this is a fairly busy route so safer than most, and you can appreciate the fynbos that you'll only find on this mountain. You can take an easy stroll along the wide forest road, or if you want to break a sweat, go up one of the mountain paths that feeds off the forest road. There are many routes, up to the top of the mountain and the dams, or along the ridge to Kirstenbosch Gardens. It is quite peaceful and healing for the soul. Security guards the cars in the carpark and there is often a local coffee trailer parked there to get your latte before or after your walk. The very nice La Parada Restaurant is opposite the car park if you want to stop off there after your stroll.”
