Your Experience
1. A Warm Welcome & Historical Introduction (15 mins)
Guests are welcomed into a cozy, hand-built wooden wine and olive oil bar in a quiet corner of central Athens. The session opens with an engaging story: the origins of Greek wine, from Homeric epics to ancient amphorae, setting the tone for the experience.
2. Tasting the Present: 3 Iconic Modern Wines (30 mins)
You’ll be seated at a rustic counter where Anton introduces you to three cutting-edge Greek wines:
A volcanic Assyrtiko a grape that originats from Santorini island, sharp, saline, and mineral-rich.
A structured rosé from a rare Aegean varietals, vibrant yet refined.
A natural red wine made in Amphora, grown in small plots, expressive of place and process.
Each wine is poured with insight—stories of the land, winemaker, and method—all brought to life with Anton’s sommelier background and storytelling flair.
3. Tasting the Past: Wines of Antiquity (20 mins)
Next, you’ll sample two wines inspired by ancient winemaking techniques. Anton explains the clay vessels, the spontaneous fermentations, and the myths and rituals surrounding ancient Greek wine
