“There is a beautiful trail up to Fort Hill located behind one of the tall office buildings downtown. Fort Hill hosts a beautiful view of the capital city and gorgeous walking trails.”

“This is an easy 6.2 mile drive straight up IN 49. This is a beautifully laid out preserve with some paved trails and some unpaved trails. Coffee Creek meanders throughout the preserve, and there are benches and decks where you can stop and rest. There is a marked 5K trail, though you can walk a shorter or longer distance. If you’re lucky, you’ll see deer in the woods, and Eastern Bluebirds in the open areas. There is a restroom on site. Free.”

“.9-mile out and back trail about 10 minutes away. This trail is sometimes not well maintained in the summer but is a popular camping trial. There is usually a small waterfall near the end of the trail. ”

“One of our favorite spots out in the woods. This sinkhole/ piece of heaven is one of the locations the Lost River flows above ground. The mood changes drastically based on the recent weather. - On dry days, a turquoise calm pool lies quietly with a back drop of cliff and cave. - On rainy days, it becomes a boiling cauldron of muddy water with swirls disappearing straight down as the water drops back under ground. ”
