Solid hard wood flooring throughout the apartment with lighting troughs and original feature columns and steel work. The apartment has been tastefully furnished throughout. Beautifully presented two-bedroom luxury loft apartment in the historic Gourock Ropeworks Building. The apartment is situated on the 5th floor, allowing access to stunning views across the River Clyde and beyond. The Gourock Ropeworks building is 6-storey red and white brick building which was originally a sugar refinery in the 1860's. This is high profile building was developed into luxury loft apartments in 2008 in close partnership with Historic Scotland and is now 'A' listed. The apartment is excellently situated to explore the West Coast of Scotland and beyond, those who wish to take the train can do so easily as the Port Glasgow Train stations is a 7mins walk away, from here you can travel easily to major destinations throughout Scotland. Open Plan Living Area / Kitchen / Dining: The entrance to the living area is framed by a stunning carved door and frame which provides the picture perfect framework to the stunning views the apartment offers. Perfect during both sunrise and sunset the living area is lit up when the weather affords and during the winter months the snow-topped mountains are visible.   • Superb Loft, míchací styly, kultury a éry bez falešné noty. Byt je velmi velký, nachází se ve staré továrně před komerčním přístavem (moderní velký přístav). Byt je jen kouzelný. Nevěděli jsme Marc, ale bylo by to velmi zajímavé. Velký prostorný obývací pokoj s obrovskými okny s výhledem na přístav a moře. V této místnosti je velká otevřená kuchyně s obrovským ostrovem v centru se starými kadeřnickými sedadly. Stručně řečeno, velmi doporučuji.

  • Marcův byt v Port Glasgow je úžasný. K dispozici je spousta místa, průmyslový elegantní kombinovaný s útulností v ideálně umístěné staré továrně uprostřed Port Glasgow a nedaleko letiště. Komunikace s Marcem je nekomplikovaná, jeho pokyny jsou naprosto jasné. Klíče se nacházejí přímo na místě, zaručené kódem, který je ideální pro návštěvníky, kteří přijdou pozdě. Mohu absolutně doporučit toto krásné ubytování.

    This ground floor apartment is beautifully presented and is ideal for a couple, two couples or a family. It has one self contained double bedroom, a second bedroom which can be curtained off and a sofa bed. The rest of the area is open plan with space to sit in front of a widescreen TV and biofuel fire, a fully fitted kitchen with bar stools and a separate table for dining. The shower and toilet are separate and easily accessible by most disabled people. We welcome pets.
    The Family barn is modern, fully equipped and luxurious set in the heart of a beautiful family run estate. Guests have access to the formal gardens and woodlands which provide different experiences throughout the year. There are great spaces for dogs and children to enjoy. We are just 20 mins by road to Glasgow, 30 mins to Loch Lomond and even Edinburgh is 60 mins on a clear run.
    The Estate is 20 minutes from Glasgow and about 12 minutes from the airport, with easy access to places such as Loch Lomond about 30 mins away. Edinburgh is 60 mins by car on a clear run so we are a great base for a few days of Scottish tourism. The world class golf courses of Troon, Prestwick, Gleneagles and Loch Lomond are all within an hour drive and the islands of Bute and Arran are close by also.
  • Úžasné moderní ubytování. Velmi prostorný obývací pokoj a koupelna / oddělený mokrý pokoj. Založeno na finlaystone country parku, bylo to skvělé, když se park zavřel v 17:00, vzali jsme psa na procházku a nechali park na sebe a museli jít na všechny dobrodružné hřiště! Handy poloha ne příliš daleko od národního parku Trossachs a Glasgow. Měli jsme tohle jako naše poslední místo na minifrantu ve Skotsku a byl to pěkný luxusní konec cesty. Doporučuji.

    Modern open plan interior in an oak framed barn set in a beautiful country estate near Glasgow and overlooking the River Clyde. Walk in shower, full kitchen facilities and washing machine. Tv and wifi. Access to formal gardens and woodlands. Pets are welcome. The apartment is furnished and equipped to a luxury standard. Finlaystone Estate has extensive woodland walks and beautiful gardens and is just 20 minutes from Glasgow and 30 minutes from Loch Lomond.
    The barn is on the upper floor of the Oak Framed building and feels a bit like a large loft. The open plan set up gives it a roomy feel. It has 1 large double bed plus a sofa bed can be made up for an extra guest. Being recently built, the building is well insulated and snug but there is a wood burning stove for extra warmth as well as electrical heating. If you have difficulty with stairs or want a larger barn we have a separately listed one on the ground floor which can take 2 to 6 people in similar style.
    The Estate is 20 minutes from Glasgow and about 12 minutes from the airport, with easy access to places such as Loch Lomond about 30 mins away. Kavárna také prodávala pikniky, které si můžete vzít na procházku kolem krásných zahrad, kde jsou piknikové lavičky roztroušené kolem jezera. Můžete krmit zvířata a existuje spousta ptáků, které lze vidět a držet

    Fashioned from a former Rope Factory and one of the only surviving buildings from Inverclyde past. The loft is on the corner of the building and
    A 1000 sq ft loft app redolent of a New York loft and simmilarlly an old industrial building which being no longer in use and derelict was repuposed as dweelings. The architect and developer wanted to make the appts unique and decided to make only 32 homes in a building that could fit 88 average sized 2 bed houses. The result is SPACE. Quite honestly until you exoerence whst it is to live in such a large space you couldnt imagine how different it is. It eithers freaks you out or is sublime. Fir me it is sublime. It is my bolthole from oved crowded Glasgow where my 2 bed flat fits inside the raised TV and rumpus room. The 9 18ft windows flood the whole space with light and thry truly allow the best decorator ever known to be appreciated, Nature. From the river to the Trossach and Campsie Hills the vista is what makes this appt just so special.

  • Toto místo je skvělé za cenu. Je to blízko vlakového nádraží, výhled je skvělý z ložnice a Italo je velmi rychlé reagovat, pokud máte nějaké dotazy. Pokud máte zavazadla, je kopec z vlakového nádraží naprosto brutální, takže pokud si nejste jisti, že to dokážete, navrhl bych si vzít pár bloků nahoru. Když jsme se tam dostali, sprcha a pračka nefungovaly, ale Italo okamžitě zareagoval a opravil to bez problémů. Hostitel je úžasný a prostor je perfektní, pokud chcete klidnou oblast v krásném městě poblíž Glasgow. Rozhodně zůstanu znovu, až se vrátím!

Sunny, self-contained, secluded and private cottage with a view from the deck over the River Leven and a private gate giving you access to Loch Lomond in 10 minutes in one direction or a longer walk (or cycle) to Dumbarton the other. Available for a minimum of 2 nights. Nicely decorated, furnished and a comfy mattress and memory foam pillows. Easy to get to with or without a car. Quiet and private setting with off-street parking within the town of Balloch. There is a supermarket 5 minutes' walk away open 7am to 10pm 7 days/week. It is a 10 minute walk to Lomond Shores, a quality shopping centre, Sealife Centre, and a tourist office. There are plenty of good walks through an 80 hectare Country Park just 5 minutes' walk away or up the west side of Loch Lomond towards Luss. The more adventurous traveler can access the stunning Trossachs National Park for ample walking / hiking / cycling / sailing / canoeing opportunities. Set in the wooded grounds of our lovingly restored 1902 house offering privacy, yet only a few minutes' walk from Balloch train station and local shops, pubs, and restaurants. Bright and contemporary, the Cottage is open-plan, divided into sitting area, kitchen, and bedroom with a separate bathroom. French doors open onto a deck overlooking the river and garden to sit back and relax in nature. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs with electric cooker with double oven and 4-ring halogen hob, large fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, and all glassware, cookware, crockery, and cutlery. For more adventurous chefs and bakers we can provide other items. Fresh hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels will be provided. The cottage has electric radiators and is very cosy. The bed is a 5 foot UK double. The mattress is medium firm. There is a WiFi transmitter in the cottage providing a fast and reliable connection. There is an LCD Free-View TV/DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The TV has an A/V inputs so you can use it to watch your movies from your own device. Fisherwood Cottage sleeps 2 adults. It is not suitable for children or pets. Tea, fresh milk, biscuits, a guest guide and local tourist attractions leaflets will be provided upon your arrival. In the summer there is plenty of wild garlic growing by the door - help yourself and use the leaves in cooking or salads. You'll see from the photographs that there is an area to sit and have a BBQ. You can either use an instant BBQ or we can lend you a small grill for use with charcoal. There is a wide choice of cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs within walking distance if you do not feel like cooking. The Cottage is self contained with a full kitchen and bathroom offering you complete privacy. We are available to help you organize your day outs and with anything else you might need. There are lots of walks around the loch from here, or a 4km walk along the riverside to Dumbarton Castle and Maritime Museum. Balloch has seven pubs and numerous restaurants, all within 10 minutes' walk. There is often live (folk) music in the Doghouse pub, see below. MOST IMPORTANT: When you book you'll get the address and directions. You can use SatNav/GPS to get to Balloch but then PLEASE FOLLOW OUR DIRECTIONS. GPS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG PLACE! There is no house number and we are NOT in Fisherwood Road. FINDING LOCAL MUSIC & EVENTS (Airbnb won't allow web links so we have shown the words you need to type into a search engine using "".) There are two pubs in Balloch that offer live music, you can check on their sites: "stonegate inns" then put "balloch" into 'town'. Further afield (you need a car) is 'Pub of the Year 1705' - The "Drovers Inn at Inverarnan" at the north end of the loch or, on the east side of the loch, "The Oak Tree at Balmaha". There are two main events listing magazines for Glasgow: "the list glasgow" "the skinny" which tends to list more informal free events FINDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCH visitscotland full stop com lochlomond-trossachs full stop org lovelochlomond full stop com Most of the castles in Scotland belong to the Crown: "historic scotland". Historic houses, sites, and gardens around Scotland are managed by the National Trust Scotland: "national trust scotland". Both organizations offer 3-day passes - individual entry can be expensive. Check their sites. The Cottage is only a few minutes' walk from Balloch station with a half-hourly service to Glasgow and beyond, 7 days a week. (Change at Dumbarton for the Oban / Fort William Harry Potter line.) There is a taxi stance by the station. Balloch is on the route for the Glasgow to Fort William Citylink bus. There are local bus links to Stirling, Balmaha (for Ben Lomond).
    Local pubs and restaurants are just a 5 minutes' walk away. We provide leaflets and a guest guide with maps and suggestions of what to see locally and further afield. The Coop supermarket is a 5 minutes' walk away open 07:00 to 22:00, 7 days/week.
  • Chata v Michael a Nolwenn byla velmi roztomilá, dobře umístěná a pohodlná. Vše bylo uděláno, abychom se cítili jako doma a malý uvítací dárek byl velmi pěkný. Check-in byl pohodlný: to byl Michael, kdo nás pozdravil a dal nám nějaké informace o chalupě (topení, vysoušeč vlasů, atd.) A o oblasti (mnoho dokumentace na místě). Informace, které měly dorazit, byly velmi přesné. Zahrada je obzvláště krásná: rozhodně stojí za oklikou! Chata je velmi čistá a pěkně zdobená, zvláštní zmínka o terase, která je velmi pěkná.   • Nemohu dostatečně doporučit Michaelovu a Nolwennovu chalupu! Opravdu vynaložili tolik myšlenek a úsilí, aby z toho udělali přesně to, co byste jako domov z domova potřebovali. Postel je velmi pohodlná s pěknými prostěradly a kvalitními polštáři a peřinou. Kuchyň je vybavena vším, co byste mohli potřebovat, a my jsme zde šťastně vařili snídani a pár dalších jídel. Poskytovali také olej a byliny, které byly krásné a nečekané. Dorazili jsme velmi pozdě a čekali na nás a po ruce s jakýmikoli směry a pomocí a půllitr mléka! Je na skvělém místě jen pár minut od vlakového nádraží a města Balloch. Poskytují rozsáhlé místní a oblastní informace prostřednictvím brožury, kterou vytvořili, a mají krásné důvody, které můžete použít, pokud si budete přát. Pokud se nacházíme v této oblasti, určitě bychom ji navštívili znovu a doporučili ji přátelům a rodině. Krásné místo, skvělé umístění, se všemi informacemi a vybavením, které byste potřebovali pro přestávku.

  • Chalupa Fisherwood byla nejlepším místem k pobytu v našich dvou týdnech ve Skotsku. Byli bychom rádi, kdyby se rozšířili. Cítíme se doma u Michaela a Nolwenna (s malým uvítacím dárkem) a cítíme pozornost a pozornost ke každému detailu. Užili jsme si, že jsme schopni vařit a používat pračku.   • Toto místo je skvělé! Tak roztomilý prostor, který byl mnohem větší, než jsme očekávali. Stojí v krásné zahradě a u řeky ... jen kousek pěšky od Loch Lomond.     Delightful one bedroom garden cottage ideally placed for exploring Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland while close enough to Glasgow to allow easy access to the city by road or rail.
    Attached single storey cottage with double bedroom, shower room, fitted kitchen diner and conservatory set in a private walled garden. There is no private parking space but there is ample, free on street parking.
    The cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a short, flat, walking distance to the small town centre and two minutes to the sea front which is lined with shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are two train stations, Helensburgh Central to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Helensburgh Upper for the West Highland Line to travel north. You can also travel to Glasgow on this line but there are fewer trains. There is a good tourist information office in the town, a small cinema and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed 'Hill House'. There are two supermarkets within walking distance and a larger one on the outskirts of the town. There are also two petrol stations a short drive from the cottage. Helensburgh has two sailing clubs. The area is great for walking and cycling. There is a cycle path to Loch Lomond and beyond and good local walking trails. The John Muir Way starts in Helensburgh. If you bring bikes and are interested in cycling then I can put you in touch with local cyclists who can give you guidance about some of the best local routes. Bikes can be hired from Magic Cycles based in Bowling but you should book in advance in the summer. Check out their website.

  • Jedná se o malý, ale dokonale tvarovaný Air BnB v centru Helensburghu s velkým množstvím malých pozorností, které z něj dělají krásný domov z domova, který je perfektní základnou pro objevování mořských loch Clyde a Loch Lomond. Komunikace s Lindou byla vždy rychlá a přihlášení bylo hračkou. Ubytování je přesně tak, jak je na obrázku, a župany na posteli byly krásné (a užitečné, dokonce i v létě!). Postel byla velmi pohodlná a zimní zahrada byla skvělým místem k posezení. Kuchyň byla v pořádku a uvítací croissanty a šťáva další pěkný dotek. Nechali jsme se velmi uvolněně a já bych vřele doporučil tohoto hostitele a vlastnost. Až příště budeme v Helensburghu (a budeme), znovu bychom si vybrali Malý domek.

  • Linda's Little House je velmi příjemný. Měli jsme snídani v krásné zahradě i na večerních kávách. Za deštivých večerů to bylo v zimní zahradě velmi útulné. Kuchyň je dobře vybavená a prostorná a pračka je velkým plusem. Čerstvé květiny vám dávají pocit, že jste doma. V koupelně je vše, co potřebujete, i když sprchový kout je malý, zejména pro vysoké lidi. Ložnice je na ulici, ale je to klidná ulice, takže jsme spali docela dobře. Měli jsme skvělý pobyt.

Dům je velmi roztomilý, nachází se v těsné blízkosti vlakového nádraží a má nádhernou kuchyni, kde si můžete snadno vařit vlastní jídlo. Dala nám mnoho tipů a doporučení pro náš výlet.     The flat has recently been decorated with bright and neutral tones to give a bright and airy feel. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, dressing table and hanging rail for your clothes. The living, dining kitchen has been designed to allow you to cook, dine and relax in one communal space and has access to Free Wifi, a 43 inch smart tv where guests can use BBC iPlayer and other internet enabled services a sofa bed with king size mattress topper for additional comfort and an extendable dining table can sit up to four people. The kitchen includes a fridge with icebox, oven, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and microwave oven. The flat also has a washer dryer available to use, stored in the utility cupboard for ease of use. The shower room contains a large walk in shower, with access to shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The flat is situated within the heart of Helensburgh.     Just a short distance from Wemyss Bay Ferry and train station. The house is located along a small private beach road opposite a pretty beach overlooking the Isle of Bute, very scenic. Very private and quiet. Good, safe parking. Very suitable for anyone who has missed the ferry, or wanting to catch an early ferry the next morning. Easy access to the islands, highlands and Ayrshire. Lovely walks. Makes a good base to explore Scotland from. Good road and rail links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
    The Airbnb property is a very private, quiet, small, first floor studio flat around the rear of the property. The flat does not have sea views but does have views of the pretty, private rear garden. To reach the property you take the drive to the left side of the house where there is plenty of parking. There are two single beds in the room. Single occupancy is £38 for two people it is £56 ( please select 2x guests in the initial search box to show the correct price). The kitchen area is small but has a sink, two hobs, microwave and a fridge. The price also includes a simple, self service breakfast of coffee, tea, cereals, milk and toast which is left in the flat for guests. The bathroom has shower, toilet and basin. Towels provided. Broadband speed 76 mgs. Dogs are welcome but please be aware that two cats live in the downstairs flat and use the same front door but don’t come up to the Airbnb guest studio. Also two small dogs live elsewhere in the property. Last minute bookings accepted.
    Wemyss Bay is a lovely spot with beautiful views across the sea and many lovely local walks. Good restaurants in Inverkip ( Inverkip Hotel and Chartroom)and Largs. Good fish and chip shop in Wemyss Bay. Award winning butchers who also sells ready meals, wine etc Seaview cafe linked to the butchers serves a very good cooked breakfast. Small friendly pub in the station ‘Station Bar’

    Woodside is a stunning 1850s Victorian mansion. The beautifully renovated top floor apartment has two bedrooms and private bathroom. There is a seating area in the twin bedroom and a tea/coffee/snack area in the hall. An ideal base for visiting the area or for a stop-over. Grounds are extensive and views are breathtaking. Loch Long shore is at the bottom of the garden and there is an enclosed kids play area. Easy access to Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Arrochar Alps, Faslane and Coulport Naval bases.
    Bedroom 1 has a double bed, chest of drawers and dressing table. Views from the window are stunning. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, two comfy chairs, a coffee table and a wall mounted TV. The bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower attachment and, what we think, is possibly the best view from a bathroom in the world! The hallway has a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge and snacks. There is wifi, internet (apple) TV, central heating with a dedicated thermostat for your apartment. All towels and bedding, crockery and cutlery are provided along with access to a washer and drier. A travel-cot and bedding is available on request. The Airbnb apartment is accessed up a shared staircase (41 stairs) – our family apartment (not Airbnb) is on the floor below. There is an area in the entrance hall for coats, boots and shoes. There is also space for buggies or 2 bikes. The gardens are beautiful and are on ongoing project with many plants of interest. If it is the right season you will be given fruit/veg from the garden and greenhouse. Please be aware there are 41 steps up to the apartment so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
    Shops - Cove Store is about 2 mins drive away. It has beautiful local produce and all general supplies. A small supermarket (Co-Op) is 10 mins drive away in Rosneath and should provide for most needs. Other local amenities include a pharmacy, butchers and bank in Kilcreggan. There are two local cafes and a fine dining hotel all within 10 minutes drive.

  • Perfektní místo k pobytu. Clare a Panos byli jen hostitelé Fab, místo bylo čisté, krásně zdobené, jednoduché, ale mělo vše, co jsme potřebovali, a zahrada byla jen úchvatná. Domov daleko od domova, krásné okolí s mořem jen 3 minuty chůze, obchody a místní restaurace v blízkosti. Toto místo jsme naprosto milovali a určitě se vrátíme :)

  • Clare a Panos 'místo je krásné. Zahradní pokoj je krásné studio - bez poskvrny čisté, opravdu pěkně zařízené a tak útulné. Má vše, co potřebujete opravdu - vaření zařízení (není tam varná deska, ale s troubou a mikrovlnnou troubou jsme zvládli naprosto v pořádku), úložný prostor, pohodlný nábytek (zejména postel) - je ideální pro 2 osoby útěk. Také sprcha je úžasná - upřímně jedna z nejlepších sprch, které jsem kdy měl, bez přehánění. Určitě bych doporučil Zahradní pokoj jako místo k pobytu - útulné, pohodlné, čisté, dobře vybavené a jen hodinu nebo tak od krásného Loch Lomond a Trossachs. Clare a Panos jsou oba milí, opravdu skvělí lidé, s nimiž se můžete potkat. Byli tak vstřícní a ochotní a dali nám několik skvělých tipů na místa k jídlu a co dělat. Děkuji moc, měli jsme skvělý čas :)

    A comfortable room in the foothills of the Kilpatrick Hills, overlooking Dumbarton and the River Clyde to the South. The house is located for easy journeys by road and public transport to picturesque Loch Lomond as well as trendy & historic Glasgow. In-house complementary therapies also available. We live with our lovely dog, Dexter. Whilst the shared spaces are definitely not going to win any prizes from lovers of show-homes, these spaces are clean. Guest-room and the bathroom are clean & tidy.
    We have a small semi-detached house and the guest room is up a short flight of stairs. In the room is a double bed with bedside tables & lamps on both sides, along with available power sockets, a wardrobe, drawers, a heated drying rack and and an oscillating fan (these live in the wardrobe); and a TV with Freeview & a Bluray player (there are a selection of films available to borrow from downstairs & you can also use Netflix & catch-up TV services). The room is well decorated with good quality bedding. It has a radiator to keep you warm in the winter and we can always provide additional blankets if necessary. Each bedside drawer unit has a hot water bottle in the top drawer. In one of the drawers, you'll find a hairdryer, and on the other side, there is a small first aid kit available if you have need of it. There is a great view from the bedroom to the Kilpatrick Hills, beyond our back garden there is nothing but fields! The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and has an excellent shower, towel rail, toothbrush charger, etc. We provide towels. We are happy for guests to use our kitchen and dining table with the understanding that these form the backbone of our personal space. As such, these spaces may be found to be messy at times, but always clean. We sometimes have a clothes airer up in the kitchen, particularly in the autumn and winter months. If mess bothers you, or you just want to relax in your own space, then there are little folding tables in your room for you to eat at. Your bedroom and the bathroom will always be clean and well presented. We have good mobile phone reception here but of course will make our wifi available for any internet junkies! We have a couple of bikes available for hire, a mountain bike and a hybrid, both small/medium size. We can supply locks and helmets too, plus maps/advice about the best local routes. Please ask if you want any more details. Prices are £5 each per day, and we're happy to negotiate a discount if you want them for a few days. Amy works as a complementary therapist, so if you're feeling tired, stressed out, or just wanting some tlc whilst you're away from home, you can book in for therapeutic massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, ear candling, aromatherapy massage and aromatherapy facials too, mere steps away from your bedroom door. She is insured and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies, so you can be confident of being in good hands. Costs for the above therapies are as follows: Reflexology - £20 Indian Head massage - £18 Ear Candling - £15 Massage (Swedish, Aromatherapy, Acupressure and Neuromuscular): £15 for 30 mins; £18 for 45 mins; £22 for 60 mins. Speak directly to Amy about booking in.
    We live on a quiet street so you'll be able to hear birds singing, which is always nice. For the more adventurous (preferably with sensible walking boots) you can explore the fields to the back of us and get some great views of the local area. There is a local convenience store 5 minutes walk away (which also has a cash machine) plus several take-aways and a small community cafe are about 15 minutes walk away (or a couple of minutes by car).

    A stunning location with open plan living, a balcony overlooking a pond and a golf course. The scenic beauty of west Scotland is on your doorstep. All guests have access to the 18 hole golf course, bar and restaurant, excellent spa, swimming pool, rooftop hot tub, steam rooms etc
    Ground floor includes an entrance lobby ideal for boots etc, even bicycles. Hallway leads to 3 bedrooms (2 twins and a double), all en suite. All have hair dryers, wardrobes a vanity unit, bedside tables. 2 have a TV. Master bedroom has 2 bathrobes and towels are provided in all bathrooms. The rear twin and double bedrooms have French doors leading out onto a paved patio area. There is also a utility cupboard which includes the boiler and is great for drying wet clothes. The first floor living area is open plan. There is a very well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils you are likely to require. There is no need to bring anything with you. There is a below counter fridge and separate freezer. The dining table comfortably seats 8. The seating area furnished with leather sofas and chairs, coffee table, TV/DVD player accommodates 8. There is an outdoor balcony area on the first floor with table and 4 chairs. There is an area on the first floor to one side where there is a fold down double bed which works fantastically for an extra 2 guests. There is a shower room and toilet on the first floor. There is a baby gate to the stairs. Full wifi throughout the lodge. Telephones in all rooms though expensive to use as part of the hotel.
    West of Scotland only a 20 minute drive to Glasgow airport and about 45 minutes to Glasgow's centre and all that has to offer. But what you are really after here is surely the beauty of Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas. Loch Lomond is stunning. There is a tour boat to take from nearby Balloch which takes you up and down the Loch. It's really beautiful. Balloch is a sweet town offering various pubs, restaurants and shops including a supermarket. On the east coast of Loch Lomond is the Ben itself a fairly easy 3 hour hike with amazing views 360. Connick Hill at Balmaha is easier and very accessible with great views from the summit. Up the west coast there is Luss (famous from the TV series Take the High Road. Ferries run from here. Also Tarbet (ferries), across to Arrochar, over 'The Rest and Be Thankful' pass to Loch Fyne and the original and well worth the trip Loch Fyne Oyster Bar - on;y have the exceptional value patter of Fruits de Mer in my opinion. Inveraray Castle etc lies a few further miles on. North of Loch Lomond about a 2 hour drive but well worth it is the awe inspiring Glen Coe. Pictured in James Bond Skyfall. A trip to the wilds of Scotland not to missed. There is so much to view and walk and climb. But don't forget to chill with a wee dram of Scottish hospitality too.

    Living room - a comfortable space with two sofas, a coffee table and a range of interesting artefacts, each with its own story of our travels to many countries. The connecting dining area has a great garden view and free tea and coffee facilities throughout your stay. Bedroom - a quiet, cosy place which is free from distraction, hopefully aiding you in getting a restful night’s sleep with the help of a king-sized bed and herbal fragrance. Bathroom - an electric shower, bath and all essential toiletries will hopefully provide all you need to refresh yourself after a long day of travelling or exploring. Garden and outside area - a sheltered front garden gives way to a spacious, south-facing rear garden via an open-access alleyway. Although we cannot guarantee fine weather at any time of year, we are certain you will be surrounded by birdsong and the colours of nature as you sit on the patio. Guest access You will have your own bedroom with wifi and full access to the shared bathroom, living room, dining area and gardens.
    The quaint and picturesque town of Dumbarton, due to its strategic location at the confluence of the rivers Clyde and Leven, was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Strathclyde. Its defining feature, Dumbarton Castle, is a must-visit place. Throughout history, Saint Patrick, Vikings, William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots and many more famous people have had connections with it. What is the connection between Dumbarton and tea? As a major shipbuilding town, Dumbarton was the place where the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark was constructed in 1869. It was the fastest clipper on Earth at that time and the Maritime Museum in the town centre lies on the site on which it was built. For outdoor lovers, Levengrove Park sits at the confluence of the two rivers, directly facing Dumbarton Castle. It is an ideal spot for nature and bird lovers, being home to a large colony of redshanks in the winter months and a place of great biodiversity all year round. For cyclists, our town lies on National Cycle Route 7, a 600-mile (967 km) sea-to-sea route connecting Sunderland in northeast England with the capital of the Scottish Highlands Inverness. For walkers there are many trails and trekking routes to explore. The River Leven Heritage Trail leads directly to Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond. The 2.5-hour route takes you through the Vale of Leven and the retirement home of the great King Robert the Bruce, the remnants of a once-flourishing textile industry and many more bird-watching sites.

    Welcome to our cosy, warm and stylish flat close to Glasgow & on Loch Lomond's doorstep! Our one-bedroom flat is in a 130 year old building and is in a leafy, quiet, residential neighbourhood overlooking the historic Dumbarton Castle, which is a 5 minute walk and open to visitors. Close by there are numerous shops, convenience stores, takeaways and 2 supermarkets. A short drive away is Loch Lomond National park and the train station (2 minute walk) takes you to the major Scottish cities!
    Our flat is in a lovely old building which dates back to the 19th century, so if you’re looking for bags of character and old period features, this is the perfect choice. However, if you’re looking for modern, sleek lines and pristine living, a more modern apartment/building may be better suited! The ground floor apartment is very cosy with dark tones, natural wood and lovely soft furnishings. There is a HD 4K TV, compatible with your laptop, with smart TV apps, Netflix, YouTube, BBC IPlayer etc and fast broadband internet throughout the apartment. The bedroom has a large walk-in wardrobe and full-length mirrors, as well as a dressing table overlooking the private garden and utility with washing machine. Our bathroom is traditionally styled and provides fluffy towels, large old bathtub and a powerful shower, too! Our kitchen is small, modern & perfectly designed for all your needs, with cupboards full of essentials and condiments to use. To the front of the property are views of the leafy square where we personally love to enjoy a coffee and read in the mornings! There's plenty of free on-street parking all around the flat, too. We love having people use our space and will do everything possible to make your stay perfect. We can arrange transport to/from Glasgow Airport for you, too.     Our neighbourhood is extremely quiet and friendly. The flat itself overlooks a lovely leafy square, with benches to sit and admire the historic views. We're right beside Dumbarton Castle which is on top of Dumbarton Rock, and there is a local shore walk which can be enjoyed, too. Perfect for dog walkers! About Dumbarton Castle: Dumbarton Castle is located in the ancient capital of Scotland and is spectacularly sited on a volcanic rock overlooking the River Clyde. The Castle has the longest recorded history of any stronghold in Scotland. Conquer more than 500 steps to stand atop one of Scotland’s greatest strongholds. The iconic Rock of the Clyde has heritage as breathtaking as its views over the Clyde, Loch Lomond and Argyll. Throughout Dumbarton Castle’s long history it has been a royal residence and a fortress, and has many fascinating connections from the Vikings to the Scottish Wars of Independence. Mary Queen of Scots sailed to France from here as a child in 1548.

With a backdrop of the sometimes snow-tipped mountains towards Dunoon, Clyde View Apartment is a special self-catering haven in the most idyllic of locations. Enjoy local fish and chips by the sea or simply enjoy a walk on one of the many off road trials. During the winter, get away from it all and put your feet up in front of the fire and enjoy the views over the River Clyde from the comfort of your front room.     The property is well situated for golfers, with easy access to Helensburgh Golf Club, Cardross Golf Club, the renowned Loch Lomond Golf Club and the new Carrick course at Loch Lomond. Helensburgh, considered by many as a gateway to the Highlands, combines both town and country living with Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within easy reach. The Glencoe and Nevis Range ski areas are both within approximately an hour and a half’s drive, while for water sports enthusiasts the Firth of Clyde provides some of Scotland’s most testing sailing waters. A stone's throw away from the train station and Helensburgh’s Colquhoun Square, a short stroll to the beach and mere minutes away from Helensburgh’s fantastic selection of restaurants, cafes and independent shops. Am Meadhan is less than 15 minutes away from Loch Lomond. Very handy for HMNB Clyde too! Steam cleaning performed.
    A fantastic little place right in the centre of Helensburgh. Everything is new and fresh in the apartment. Equipped with a nespresso machine for coffee lovers, super-fast fiber connection, a WiFi/bluetooth speaker, a smart TV and Netflix. It has low-allergen Karndean flooring throughout and a cosy small double bed in the bedroom.

    Compact but very cosy modern apartment within an end of a hillside cul-de-sac in Gourock with spectacular sweeping views over Firth of Clyde, Loch Long, Holy Loch and mountains of Argyll. Very quiet. Bedrooms face the rear of the building where the countryside wilderness starts and the only night time disturbance is likely to be the slight noise of an odd deer venturing into the garden grounds.
    Please note that own transport is advisable. Although there is a public bus service at the main road at the bottom of the hill, some walking uphill from the bus is needed, which might be not suitable for young children and/or frail people. Discounted taxi service with a licensed Inverclyde taxi operator/driver could be arranged on request. The primary maximum amount of guests is four persons. However, a fifth person could be accommodated on a folding bed in the lounge, if required. I do believe in maintaining a healthy environment in the flat and keep the number of soft furnishings to a bare necessary minimum. It means no carpet floor coverings, etc., but it helps to keep dust levels as low as possible.
    Inverclyde with its principal towns of Greenock and Gourock boasts plenty of scenic places with spectacular views over water and mountains. Within walking distance from the apartment, there is Gourock-Dunoon ferry offering the fastest route to Argyll from Inverclyde. From Dunoon it is possible to explore the unspoilt mountainous scenery with empty roads of the Cowal peninsula and further afield into Argyll and Highlands proper. A few miles south at Wemyss Bay, there is the ferry linking the mainland with the Isle of Bute. For city lovers, Glasgow with its endless possibilities for shopping, culture and nightlife is only 30 miles to the east.
