Alan and his wife are excellent hosts, they even waited up past midnight for our arrival! He provided specific directions a few days before our departure and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The cabin is great and has everything you need! My boyfriend loved the recliner couch and big screen TV, it is football season after all! Great location for checking out parks and nature in the area too!

This is a cozy cottage out in the middle of the country. It was so utterly adorable and perfect for getting away from it all! My daughter and I stayed here during Christmas. The interior is absolutely beautiful and very spacious! All new appliances and fixtures, the floor is a gorgeous white tile and a HUGE television stocked with all the favorite movie channels and cable. Internet was fast and consistent and our host was so friendly and accommodating, an absolute pleasure to get to know. Full kitchen amenities so you can buy groceries and store them in the full-size refrigerator. I love the induction stove that brings water to a boil in under 3 minutes and allows you to cook a full meal. All pots/pans, flatware, dishes, and glasses are already stocked. It even has a microwave, toaster oven AND a dishwasher! You only need to travel one mile to get to anything you need- grocery store, Walmart, laundromat, gas station, etc. We absolutely adore it here and recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from city life and enjoy the peaceful quiet of country living complete with the occasional cow "mooing" and a blanket of beautiful stars that you can sit outside and clearly see every single night. It is very obvious that this owner has invested the time and care and worked very hard to make this beautiful cottage a memory maker for travelers. So in love with this place!

Mohu samozřejmě konstatovat, že náš další výlet do této oblasti, budu kontaktovat Steva po kabině před hledáním jinde.

Komunikace s hostitelem, Steve, byl skvělý. Byl velmi pozorný. Chata byla dobře vybavené a byl velkou hodnotu za peníze.

Steve odpověděl rychle. V den, kdy jsme dorazili, že nám poslal zprávu, aby se ujistil, že jsme se a uvidíme, jestli jsme potřebovali něco. Samozřejmě, že jsme potřebovali nic. Chalupa byl zásoben cokoliv, co by mohl chtít. Líbí se mi vařit a kuchyni měl velký sklad nádobí, hrnce a pánve, nádobí & dokonce i malé spotřebiče. Vaflovač bylo milé překvapení! Grilování na zadní palubě s tímto názorem bylo fantastické. Vzal jsem kánoi ven a udělal nějaké ryby, pak přišel se dívat na nějaký fotbal na velké TV s plochou obrazovkou. Postele a polštáře jsou velmi pohodlné. Byly poskytnuty ručníky a toaletní potřeby. Jen jsem si přál, abychom mohli zůstat déle & bude určitě vrátí. Tato chata je všechno Steve říci, je to je a mnohem více. Kousek starého Florida.Thank vás Steve.

Měli jsme fantastický víkend na chalupě! Je to roztomilý chata se spoustou skvělých vybaveností a naprosto krásným výhledem. Milovali jsme klid, sousední zemi a důkladně si užil kanoistika na jezeře. Steve byl vynikající hostitel a vždy rychle reagovat na otázky a obavy.

Chalupa byl jmenován velmi dobře. Všechno, co jsme mohli jsme potřebovali bylo snadno dostupné. Použili jsme kánoi v jezeře a přinesl své vlastní jetskis. Lokalita je velmi klidná. Důkladně si užil náš pobyt.

Steve was not around but answered our emails promptly, the cottage was as advertised, well stocked and clean, in a nice quite, secluded neighborhood with views over the lovely lake from the living room, veranda and deck. All in all, a nice relaxing 10 days vacation.

Jacqueline was very accommodating. I booked the trip as surprise for my wife and accidentally booked our first night on a night we had a party to attend. So we were essentially paying for a day that we weren't using but Jacqueline said that she'd give us a free night if we decide to come back! The cabin was about what you'd expect. Nothing fancy but everything you need. It was a little rougher around the edges (screen porch not sealed, beds not real comfy, shower stall a bit challenging for my 6-4 self, floor boards sliding here and there) but overall a great little spot.

This was my husband and I's first time using airbnb. We were very excited about staying in a cabin on the outskirts of Gainesville. Our conversations with Jaqueline before our trip were friendly and accomodating. All of the 34 reviews of this place were positive and raving! However when we arrived we found the reviews to be completely inaccurate. 1. the cabin was in the next town over in Waldo. 2. Had to park 60+ yards away from cabin because there was no driveway and we were in our pickup and she didn't want grooves put into the yard, and because we were not allowed to leave the porch light on we had to walk this distance in the dark. 3. Spiders everywhere in the cabin, along with 2 small roaches (yes i have pictures) and i found and earwig under my pillow. Hostess told me the bug spray was under the kitchen sink and to spray the house....not my responsibility. I ended up going to walmart and spending $10 on bug spray i knew worked well and sprayed the interior of the house 4. The master bedroom bed was not a mattress but a very worn futon cushion that sunk in the middle. 5. If you left the cabin the air conditioner (window unit) had to be shut completely off, so that whenever you came back from town, being 90+ degrees in FL the cabin was hot and humid. Never in all my years of traveling have I ever looked forward to leaving a place.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin while in town for the Fest! The land surrounding is gorgeous and begs to be explored, and the cabin itself is cozy and accommodating. Descriptions of the space are accurate, and we encountered no issues with facilities/appliances excluding an inability to connect to the internet (but who needs it when you're in the midst of a wildlife sanctuary, anyway?). Jacqueline kindly ensured that the kitchen was stocked for us and provided a helpful list of check-in/check-out procedures, local attractions, and a charming hand-drawn map. I would definitely recommend the cabin for anyone visiting the Gainesville area who prefers their stay to be outside the fracas of downtown--it's worth the wander!

Mark was very quick to communicate and emailed very detailed instructions for us. When we arrived we were very excited to see the beautiful lake, and the trees covered in Spanish moss. The pictures don't do justice to just how beautiful the property is. The houses were very comfortable and well equipped, and our large group of families had plenty of space to spread out, cook, fish and enjoy. I would highly recommend for large groups and family reunions.

Everything was very neat, clean and orderly. We stayed here for Homecoming weekend at UF spending most of our time in Gainesville, which was a little further drive than we wanted, but the home was otherwise perfect for our family's needs (5 of us). Keystone Heights was a nice town and we enjoyed a late dinner with live music at Brooklyn Boys pizza on Friday and a great Sunday breakfast at the Keystone Heights Inn Restaurant. Angela was communicative, easy to deal with, and answered all of my questions before we got there. Good price, nice stay!

This place is perfect to chill. Darci has games galore for inside and out. Her pets Kenya and Gator are low maintenance (unlike my boys) and just lay around like I want to on weekends. Darci even cooked waffles for breakfast. This place is perfect for a getaway and to fish.

Great place for a family. Darci let us have the whole house and our family of four really enjoyed our extended stay. Tons of board games, outdoor games, bikes, water toys and lake access. Nice spot for BBQ in the backyard too. Beautiful location in a quiet neighborhood with some of the biggest live oaks I've ever seen. Comfortable and cute and easy to feel right at home in Darcy's house.

Beautiful location! If you are looking to relax or getaway for few days this is the perfect spot. They have a trail leading up to a deck over looking a lake that is perfect for catching the sunrise or sunset. Their home was welcoming and cozy. Karen and her husband were very helpful the entire stay. Her husband gave us different trails for us to check out and both of them wanted to make sure we had a comfortable stay in their home. Would definitely stay again!

This place was awesome, she's super nice and is really good with replying and getting back to you. Everything was great, clean, comfortable, quiet.

Brittani's 5th Wheel was interesting. I have never seen such a small space accommodated. The 5th Wheel has some "Special Blinds" for the Windows though. I, just as Brittani mentioned another Guest too, had problems with the "Special Blinds" & opening the windows; which creates issues (Even she had problems trying to fix it). Without being able to open the windows easily, in such a small space, including the toilet area next to the Bedroom & seconds away from the Kitchen, the 5th wheel can get a little muggy & musty. Being Closed In, not being able to open the windows & without proper bathroom toiletries like Air Freshner, the 5th Wheel can linger with unpleasant smells. I burned an incense as a result. Although Brittani saw & smelled me burning the incent because of the small space, closed windows & small bathroom, she didn't mention it was a problem; until I left. Then she tried to make it a problem; annoying me, trying to milk me for money. The electricity went out, & Brittani kept Coming In & Out of the 5th Wheel, which interrupted my Stay. I was asleep when I was first interrupted with the "In & Out" & the Refrigerator was constantly making this annoying beeping sound. I tried to communicate to her about it, but she didnt respond & it continued throughout the Stay. Being in a "forestry" type area, the mosquitoes are bad & it's easy to track dirt, grass, etc. inside; which too was annoying.

We loved our experience at this location!! It was clean and comfortable. Brittani was very welcoming and respectful. We felt that she was available if needed, but at the same time gave us our space and privacy. We loved watching a movie on the large TV. We also went on a walk to the pond and enjoyed the property.

I really enjoyed staying in this Camper. It was a nice experience. It has everything you need including large TV and very comfortable bed.

My daughters and my niece came down for the memorial week, I can't express how amazing of a time we had, everything was on point about her listing, the beds were soo comfy, the 5th wheel was amazingly clean and friendly and very inviting, there was so much to do besides what we came there for right on the property, there were tortoises walking around, we saw turkeys in the morning, we went down to the pond in the back and saw fishes, we did a tiny hike right on the forest part of the property, her dog Kira was as sweet as can be, the 5th wheel was very much like home, prepped, with pots and pans, cups and plates, fresh towels, blankets, a huge tv, utensils, tissue, baby wipes, sun tan lotions and name brand cleaning supplies, nothing was left undone, there was nothing i had to ask for, she kept in communication with us and recommended a very nice beach Called Hannah beach, where we visited everyday of our trip, last but not least Brittani was such an amazing host, the most friendly, cutest well mannered young lady ever, with such a warm and inviting personality, my girls adored her, she gave us a fresh picked cucumber from her garden which was really nice, and we enjoyed as part of our dinner, I will definitely be using her services again and recommend her 5th wheel to everyone❤❤❤ thank you Brittani you were amazing...

Fun endroit confortable au camp! Super sympa hôte aussi bien!

Alexis' directions were spot on. We found the trail with no issues. It's a bit of a hike down to the site, but definitely doable, even with gear in hand. (Note: Only bring what you can carry, it's not possible to roll or team carry anything to the site comfortably) Wild life was tame. We spotted a giant possum, but it let us be after we shined our flashlights on it. (Another Note: bring flashlights, they are a necessity.) Bring plenty of firewood, as gathering wood is not condoned. You'll need at least a couple bags of wood for a small fire for one night. Don't count on bringing any canoes, kayaks, etc. It would be way too hard to get them down to the water with the level it is currently at. Other than the do's and dont's , we had a very relaxing trip. The sound of the stream will put you at peace, though the neighbors dog does have a loud bark at times. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to try out primitive camping with the safety net of a nearby car, good cell reception and an accommodating host.

Beautiful campsite! On the first night of our stay we saw a peckerwood and a cardinal. We also saw the prettiest little frongs along the stream through the site and some fireflies at night. Of course there were the usual mosquitoes and spiders... But we brought some candles and repellents, we had no mosquitoes or bug problems. The campsite was very peaceful and quiet with the occasional sounds of the stream water. I went on this trip with no prior camping experience and its definately going to require some flexibility on your part to try new things. I brought a "camp shower", you can find on Amazon, because to me wiping down baby wipes is not a shower. And I loved showering outside, it was very refreshing! As for bathrooms, make sure you bring TP. Don't leave trash on the site. I had an air mattress and a tent where you could remove the tarp to get some breeze. I went during the summer, so it was hot during the afternoons but mornings and nights are very comfortable. Don't be fooled though, nights do get just a little chilly. I was able to cook soups and beans with a regular campfire (get creative). Also bring plenty of water, especially if you plan on using the camp shower and making coffee in the mornings (you'd be surprised how much water we use). Alexis was an amazing host! Took the time to help us with directions and answered any questions we had as first time campers. Overall this is an experience I won't forget, really a unique trip!

Heather was very communicative and helpful. Loved the house- it was clean, spacious, and accommodating. It's very secluded and anything city is a minimum 20 minute drive but with the scenery, the driving isn't an issue!

The house is exactly as pictured, it is in the country and 40 minutes away from UF. Heather's directions to her house are prefect, however I do recommend that you arrive during the day since the main road to the house there is no street lights and finding the house will be little challenging. Once you do arrive on the main road to head to the house, follow the directions Heather provides and not go by your GPS.

This property was great for our group of 7 adults, 3 kids, and a baby. It would have been great to bring my dog too but we didn't. The country setting is so beautiful and peaceful. The dirt road is fun to drive down! As with everything, there are pros and cons to Heather's home... PROS: ample room in house and entire property price most everything you may need was there (toiletries, towels..) CONS: overall cleanliness particularly the outside sitting areas grass needed to be cut could not find more TP after initial roll was used fridge was packed with owner's food leaving no room for ours Overall, my family and I had a nice stay at Heather's house. I would recommend it and would stay there again myself. You can't beat the price!

Heather was always available for every queries. She had provided the map before the trip. The rooms were big and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the silence and tranquility of this country house. Location and owner are the best part about this home. Some of the things to be noted are given below which are not serious issues if you know before renting it. 1)You will see dog hairs all over the house which we didn't know before entering. 2)We felt that the water smells weird but per Heather ,the home has a private spring well, rather than city water which is chlorinated. If you are used to city water, you may be noticing the sulfur-like smell of the well water. 3)The bed on the master bed room wasn't clean, bedsheets had some insects. Also Heather has kept some of her stuffs there in the room. 4)Also no internet connectivity. Ultra me and T-mobile has poor range there. I would recommend this room to anyone who is okay with my above comments.

Heather was a great host, very prompt to respond to any questions with detailed and helpful information. The property was as described, quiet and comfortable.

Our stay at Tranquilty Bay was just that: Tranquil. The home is comfortable, the lake view gorgeous, and the quiet restoring. With all that, the hustle of Gainesville is just 25 minutes away, or go east 5 minutes and enjoy the artist enclave that is Melrose. Two great bonuses: super easy access to the Gainesville airport, and the back porch is a bird watcher's paradise! I have family scattered in this area and plan on staying in Martin's lovely home again!

This lake house has an amazing view and plenty of deck space for a family to gather in chairs and relax. The house itself is very clean and stylish. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay there again! the stars at night were brilliant!

What a wonderful place! The location was quiet and peaceful. A special touch was that Phil and Martin included a bag of coffee after I went on and on about how I loved my morning coffee. Location is close to restaurants, a grocery store, and gas stations. We went to a wildlife sanctuary/conservation place that was nearby called Single Vision. Very fun. But, we especially enjoyed quiet time on the dock and letting our kids "feed" the fish! What a wonderful place with all the amenities you need for a quiet getaway.

The house was perfect, peaceful, and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds. Melrose is a wonderful little town with good restaurants and fun galleries.

This location was great! Toasted some marshmallows for somemores on the fire in the firepit one night. Checked out the art spots and vintage (URL HIDDEN) pretty on Lake Sante Fe. My favorite lake in Florida. Even a grapefruit tree in the backyard. Hosts were available for any questions. Thanks for sharing your home with me! Also close to Gainesville.

Trey's house was the perfect relaxing Melrose venue. Beautiful view of Melrose Bay, which is more peaceful than on Big Lake Santa Fe. Lovely area and within walking distance of downtown Melrose. Well equipped home and kitchen, all you need and great fireplace. Trey very friendly and accommodating to our request to stop by early and drop off groceries. All in all a perfect stay.

It was our valentine's day getaway. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there and it felt like our own little sanctuary. Everything was perfect, from the cabin to the lake . Marcus was a very helpful host and did everything he could to make our stay an awesome one . He quickly responded to any questions we had. Marcus invited us to treat the grounds as if it was our own and we certainly did by cleaning up after ourselves and returning things where we found them. We felt extremely comfortable and welcomed. I can't wait to come back with my family and friends. TIP: Stick with the red canoe. We made the mistake of dragging the faded one out first only to find out it leaked. But it didn't put a damper on our day, we enjoyed the exercise:)

This was truly one of the best getaways with my family. Marcus was beyond helpful from the moment we started looking at his beautiful property till the end of our stay. Most vacation rental owners post pics and tell you a bit about what you should expect, however he went way beyond that by sending helpful tips as far as how we could get the most out of our stay by planning different things. The cabins are surrounded by nature and the swan lake just like it was described. The fact that there was no internet wifi nor cable made all of us interact more with each other the entire time I LOVED IT. From making fire to playing games and telling stories it was amazing. The cabins were extremely clean and each were equipped with everything we needed for a comfy stay just as comfortable as a Hotel room but more roomy with a gorgeous 360 view of the nature. Bottom line if you're a fan of nature don't think it twice you're going to love yourself for booking this place even for a weekend getaway. Marcus's secluded Lakefront cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway in quiet nature. The lake was beautiful particularly at Sunset. We even built a small fire and made smores outside of our cabin. It was sufficiently furnished for our rustic getaway in the country. Marcus was very good at communicating details about arriving at the property and the history behind it. Check out Melrose Cafe for breakfast.
