Local anarchist watering hole in the cellar underneath the Cinema Lumìere. Dress accordingly! Inexpensive craft beers and drinks. If you get peckish, the cafe upstairs has some great subs. Great place for a philosophical discussion over wine and cigarettes (yes, they let you smoke there). Sometimes concerts or political events. Staff works pro bono, so be nice.

Trail on top of the remains the old city wall. Very popular with joggers but also nice for a quiet little walk around the city center. Nice views.

Big Supermarket across the street for all your grocery needs. Also has a few vegetarian and vegan products. Avoid the bakery.

Organic whole foods market around the corner. All the organic vegan gluten free bread spreads you could want.
Also has a branch of the best lokal wholegrain bakery, so buy your bread here! I prefer plain rye or the plain rye with linseed on thursdays. But experiment yourself. The staff will advise you.
BTW German bakeries are commonly ok with selling halved loafs, so feel free to mix and match.
