Nice place to visit for a walk. I like the aquarium and the old buildings. It's a very old garden and they changed the sidepart so that you can be very near the garden without entering and have a drink or lunch or diner in the old conservatory of the 'friends of Artis' meeting rooms with a large terrace under old trees.

Situated in a former nursing home along the river Amstel, beautiful environment, beautiful building, interesting exibitions. Don't forget to visit the ajacent garden and the Nieuwe Keizersgracht with the Schaduwkade project at the left side of the Hermitage.

Breathtaking building, interesting exibitions from the colonial past, also with a very active childrenspart. They just opened a nice public grandcafe with a big terrace at the back of the building in the Oosterpark, close to the Dappermarkt and a lot of interesting bars and restaurants.

Waterlooplein market is still a nice place in a nice environment, it is next to the Opera where the famous National Ballet has its domicily (look at their agenda!) and is surrounded by nice shops, bars and restaurants.

Very nice and interesting university garden with 2 big new hot houses and several small butterfly houses. But also they preserved the old hot house and they run a very cosy restaurant/bar with terrace.

Zoku is just around the corner on the top floor of a building. You can relax, enjoy the view, work a little on your computer if you want, have breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just a coffee or a wine. I love the place, it realy makes you feel at home.
