It takes its name from the fine sand , which has glass elements in it and provides a sparkling effect during sunshine.
Golden Beach has becomea popular destination for wind-surfers , kite-surfers and water sports but also for those ones who want to enjoy the shallow waters and swimming.
The beach is very well organized with umbrellas ,sundecks and bars offering food and drink.
One part of the beach is not organized.
You can get to Golden Beach via bus, car, motorbike or foot as it is 10km away froom Lefkes.
