Kuzguncuk is a district located in Üsküdar district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The settlement on the Anatolian coast of the Bosphorus, between Üsküdar, Paşalimanı and Beylerbeyi, was formed in the northwest-southeast direction and developed in a valley opening to the Bosphorus. Its name comes from a saint named “Kuzgun Baba” who settled here during the reign of Mehmet the Conqueror. Kuzguncuk is the first Jewish settlement in the Asian part of Istanbul.
