Across the street from Lincoln Park and Lincoln Park Zoo, great place to grab a delicious coffee drink and breakfast. My favorite item is their pb and j made with almond butter and fresh jam. At the bottom of Hotel Lincoln, a neat boutique hotel.

Beautiful zoo, and it is FREE admission thanks to generous donors. Take a stroll and stay as long or little as you would like. Great spot to walk to along a path to the lake. I recommend stopping here and walking to the south point, past a pond and over the North Avenue bridge to the beach. Stop and ask Chicagoans if you need to find the way, I trust they will be helpful. Typically open until dusk.

In the "Emerald Garden", families can enjoy a leisurely afternoon among the beautiful flowers. Take a stroll through the park and you’ll be greeted by statues of the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and everyone’s favorite, Dorothy & Toto. Organized activities for children include soccer and t-ball.
