This is a small, lovely island worth visiting! You can also walk from there to the other nearby islands. Uunisaari is only 10 minutes boat trip from Kaivopuisto Park (Kompassitori). During the summer there is a boat connection and during the winter you can easily walk there using the bridge.
If you try the food, i recommend to take the salmon soupI

In the market hall, they have all kind of happenings during the evenings, including wine tastings and live music - not to mention plenty of nice restaurants. Check their calendar (also in facebook)!

During the summer this is a peaceful park to enjoy your picnic with friends.
