Enjoy the Spring and outdoor clothes washing area of El Pedró in L'Escala. irst water piping was fitted in 1796. As it was difficult to overcome de Pedró hill, it was decided to install the fountain and public laundry area at this spot, at the town's entrance. The water came from a spring located in La Fornaca and it was canalized towards the L'Escala through Camp dels Pilans (Field of Pillars), which takes its name after the pillars, a few of those still visible, which were used to ventilate the underground canal. The large laundry area was built in 1887. It is included in the Catalonia Achitectural Heritage inventory.
