The ADI Design Museum was created to showcase the entire repertoire of projects in the historical collection of the Compasso d’Oro award. This award was created in 1954 thanks to an idea by Gio Ponti to promote the quality of Made in Italy design and today it is the oldest and most authoritative form of recognition within the industry worldwide. The museum is managed by the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection Foundation, established in 2001 by ADI – the Association for Industrial Design to safeguard and enhance the artifacts built up over the decades of the award. This is a national cultural legacy, recognized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage as “of exceptional artistic and historical interest”. Together with the Permanent Collection, the museum spaces will host temporary in-depth exhibitions, cross-cutting initiatives and meetings for the general public, to raise awareness and promote design culture at both national and international levels. *A new cultural center* A regularly updated curatorial team that guarantees a wide range of constantly redefined visions and programs. A museum that is open and accessible to everyone in line with design for all criteria. The exhibitions and services are in a single open space and are accompanied by specifically trained cultural mediators whose job is to allow visitors direct access to and involvement with the contents. A single app – created thanks to the technical partnership with Orbital Cultura (Nexi Group) – manages the ticket office, visits to exhibitions and provides constantly updated information about the museum’s initiatives. It is open to everyone, even those who don’t want to visit the exhibitions. Public members can spend their time here, meet friends, and hold business meetings. The glazed gallery, the focal point of the museum, connects via Ceresio with via Bramante via a walkway that becomes a genuinely new design path.

Immersed in an ample private garden with a swimming pool and a tennis court and located in the center of Milan, the Necchi Campiglio Villa was completed by the architect Piero Portaluppi in 1935. The structure was commissioned by the Necchi Campiglio family, who were part of Milan's rich and elegant industrial middle class in the 1930s. The interior spaces follow the traditional layout of noble homes: daytime areas on the ground floor, bedrooms on the first floor, service rooms in the areas under the roof, and a den, changing rooms, and bathrooms for the pool in the basement. The Necchi Campiglio family aimed to distance themselves from the traditions of their day and planned ample areas dedicated to the reception of guests and social activities, including the dining room, smoking room, library, and grand salon. After WWII, areas of the villa underwent changes by the architect Tomaso Buzzi, who softened the linearity of Portaluppi’s style and incorporated aspects inspired by the 18th century, especially those in the style of Louis the 15th of France.

Founded in 1947 on Via Plinio, Bar Basso is one of the rare establishments where the charm of grand international bars and Old Milan still lingers. Not ancient, elegant, or aristocratic, but rather "modern" as proclaimed by the napkins – an emblem of the city's post-war era of change. It all began in 1967 when Mirko Stocchetto took over the bar from Mr. Basso. These were the years just before the 1968 movements, a time when the world was in turmoil, seeking social changes. A new middle class and a new imagination emerged, rock music echoed, and the young sought neither overly formal venues nor the bars where fathers gathered to play cards. Stocchetto captured the moment and brought a new tradition to the city. Remarkably young, he had worked in Cortina, Munich, at Venice's Harry's Bar, served Hemingway and the Agnellis, and savored the American drinking culture. In Milan, he recreated a haven for sophisticated drinkers, introducing the ritual of aperitivo and making cocktails popular, moving them from the luxury hotel lounges. A historic neighborhood bar thus evolved into the shaker's Mecca, with codified recipes like the Manhattan, White Lady, Bloody Mary, and Margarita, but more importantly, a place where new concoctions were invented. At Bar Basso, a list of 500 drinks is made by eye, the Rossini (strawberries and prosecco) was born, and the timeless Negroni Sbagliato® - which Mirko Stocchetto claims to have accidentally created in 1972. This is the legend, but what's certain is that behind this counter, a part of international mixology history was made, and so was Milan. In Vienna and Trieste, the intelligentsia would sip coffee? In Milan since then, people gather for cocktails.

Since 2007, it has been the epicenter of the nightlife in Porta Venezia, the "Rainbow District." Adorned with tasteful pop decor from the 60s and 70s, Mono has an international and inclusive spirit, being gay-friendly (although the crowd is truly diverse) and casual. The venue hosts exhibitions, DJ nights, and when the warm season arrives, the crowd spills out onto the outside.

Among the most photographed Liberty-style buildings in the city, a new cocktail bar opened last winter, whose frescoed walls and decorated ceilings blend seamlessly with the surrounding context. Born from an idea by Daizy Shely, her husband Flavio, and their friend Mike, Coke Tales is the establishment that Milan needed, bridging sophistication and dreamlike sensations. Upon entering, you'll feel like stepping into another era, into an imaginative venue where positive vibes are the order of the day.
