Food Scene
These are my favorite places in and around town. There are many more great places and I's be happy to give you more guidance if you tell me with some detail what type of food or ambiance you are looking for. I also encourage you to check out the Julian Chamber of Commerce site (VISITJULIAN DOT COM) for more info on what the town has to offer.

We’ve set up shop in the middle of town, converting the town’s old livery stables into a comfortable and charming tasting room. With big barn doors, exposed high ceilings, wood floors, and of course plenty of great wine, we look forward to welcoming you to our Julian tasting room. We think you’re going to love it – we do!
Come for a taste, a glass, or a bottle, you’ll find knowledgeable and gracious hosts offering you interesting insight into our wines and the winemaking processes we employ.
Tasting room hours are as follows:

Sunday: noon – 4pm

Tour a real gold mine and learn about what it was like to work in the mine. This is a very fun and educational activity. Know that you will be going though narrow passageways and will need to climb a few ladders. Good mobility is a must.

This is a great place for kids of all ages to have a little adventure. They have activities ranging from archery and ax thowing to paintball, to petting zoo, crafts, music, dancing, and flower and fruit picking. There is always something fun to do here.
