When we first checked out the nearest Indian Restaurant we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and have been back several times since. They offer a delivery service [but not always].

This is a special occasion sort of place - quite fancy but lovely contemporary dining in a pretty setting. About 10 mins by car.

Stubbs has a main restaurant and a more fancy Oyster & Champagne Bar - not the cheapest but not crazy expensive either - good quality and good sized portions. About 7 mins by car.

We stumbled across this place by chance and it was great. Parking wasn't easy but the Argentinian steak was really good and service very friendly.

This lovely old Manor House neighbours our garden - you can climb over our fence and walk up there or just have a wander around their grounds. It's a lovely setting and the food and drink are good, as are the afternoon teas - but it is at Spa Hotel Prices and the bar / restaurant can feel a little unexciting in atmosphere at times. But well worth a wander around at least.

Eastwell Manor, Champneys Hotel & Spa
This lovely old Manor House neighbours our garden - you can climb over our fence and walk up there or just have a wander around their grounds. It's a lovely setting and the food and drink are good, as are the afternoon teas - but it is at Spa Hotel Prices and the bar / restaurant can feel a little unexciting in atmosphere at times. But well worth a wander around at least.
This is 25 mins motorway drive away - but lovely to be by the sea. The Harbour Arm is newly regenerated with lots of food places and can have a great fun buzzy atmosphere on a sunny day. Also nearby is RockSalt the Michelin Star fish restaurant . . there's also Little Rock the cheaper sister restaurant on the Harbour arm too. We often head down there.

This delightful farm shop is close to our cottage about 4 mins drive away and an absolute gem. They have a wide selection of essentials, mainly food with specialities being local fresh produce.. There's a fresh fish stall every Friday and Saturday morning and a newly refurbished tea-room open everyday. Well worth a visit.

This is our local pub - the best feature being it's within a few mins walking distance. It's a very ordinary pub and totally fine for a plate of food and drink. Sunday roasts are OK too.
