This is our local 'snackbar', you can get chips/fries ('patat' in Dutch) and lots of fried snacks such as 'kroket', 'bitterballen' or frikandel', typically Dutch foods. Not very healthy but worth a try! It's open daily apart from Tuesday until 10pm (but sometimes earlier!).

This is what Utrecht is known for, just great to see it or you can climb the tower for great views (a lot of steps!).

You have to book a time slot for this museum as it's so small, but it is an amazing house and the audio tour gives a lot of info.

This is our local butcher, but also sells bread from a bakery and some fruit and vegetables. They are not cheap but great quality and very near!

This is a cheese shop - they have so many cheeses it's unbelievable (Dutch and other) and they let you taste before you buy. Must see/taste!

Parks & Nature
This is nice forest just outside Utrecht, it is easy to get to by bike or car. Most of the trails are walking only (not cycling). This is good for a stroll in nature, but I certainly wouldn't classify it as hiking!

Drinks & Nightlife
There are lots of different bar/cafes here, as well as places where you can have a bite to eat. Especially when the sun is out it is great to sit outside!
