About 15 minutes north of Bigfork, at the intersection of Hwys 35 & 206 is some of the best THURSDAY NIGHT prime rib you'll ever eat. Short menu, but everything on it is good! I've had salmon a bunch, swordfish, mussels, burgers, and a slew of great cocktails. The hubs loves the smoked prime rib and selection of draft beer (some good local varieties). Atmosphere is great, service is wonderful. Sit on the patio for mountain views! But if you go on prime rib night (Thursday), go early - like at 5PM!!

Parks & Nature
Just east of the condo, this trail overlooks the Wild Mile of the Swan River. Wander toward town, past Electric Avenue and up the hill - no need to drive there and parking is hard to find anyway! Local tip - stop for Sweet Peaks ice cream at the hotel on your way home :)

Get driving directions to Camp Misery trailhead off Jewel Basin Road and spend the day in scenery that just about equals Glacier National Park! For me, I prefer the Jewel for the less traveled aspect - you can be hiking and be ALONE on the trail for long periods of time! Mt. Aeneas is about a 6 mile round trip not for the faint of heart (or lungs), with an option to dump off the top down to Picnic Lakes and return via that loop. An easier 6 miles would be to Birch Lake for fishing and swimming. Not as much elevation gain and a great way to blow the day!
Bears are there - I've not ever seen one on all my hikes in that area. You will see mountain goats year 'round on Aeneas and in early summer at Birch Lake.
Google a map of Jewel Basin, look for Camp Misery trailhead. The upper road and parking area are often CLOSED due to snow until late May, but you could always snowshoe!
