Sightseeing
It is a beautiful place to explore. Mediterranean turquoise sea at its best. Frequented by tourists in summer months, however can make a good trek in Winter months. Can be reached by bus 119 from nearby bus stop Tmiem. Stop bus stop Delimara 2, walk 20 minutes up the path opposite of the bus stop and follow the signs.
When you find the path down to St. Peter's Pool, you can either keep going down until you find the bay or follow the path on the right. There you can find two other small unpopular secluded beaches with interesting natural rocky formations. The place is known by locals as Kalanka tat-Tumbrell (Bullet Tuna Bay).
On your return, why don't you chill out at one of the restaurants in Marsaxlokk. Catch bus 119 again to return to the apartment. Ask James and Helga on how to reach place on foot from Apartment 2.

Valletta
Valletta is Malta's Capital City. Best to visit via public transport 84 from nearby bus stops Huxlief or Crieki. Must visits are St. John Co-Cathedral, its Caravaggio's masterpiece, and Upper Baracca Gardens. Evenings in Valletta are also vibrant and romantic, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars to chill out. Why don't you take the lift from Upper Baracca Gardens to take a short ferry to the Three Cities - Birgu, Bormla, Isla (more details on Birgu and the Three Cities in another dedicated guidebook page). All these places are open air museums. If you proceed to the Three Cities, catch the bus to Paola or Valetta and return to Apartment 2 by bus 84 or 206.
The beautiful Wied iz-Zurrieq, Blue Grotto and UNESCO World Heritage Site Hagar Qim can be reached from Apartment 2 by means of Public Transport or 20 minutes by car. Catch bus 135 from nearby bus stop Tmiem, stop at the Airport and take bus 201. You can either stop at bus stop Panorama to admire Blue Grotto from up the cliffs or bus stop Grotto down at Wied iz-Zurrieq. If you stop at Panorama you have to walk down a scenic road for about 10 minutes in order to find the end of the valley.
At Wied iz-Zurrieq one can enjoy swimming or take a boat trip to visit Blue Grotto and its turquoise waters. Afterwards you can walk 20 minutes up the road, or catch the bus again, to visit Hagar Qim, one of the best preserved Neolithic temples dating to 3600-3200 BC. At Wied iz-Zurrieq there are plenty of traditional Maltese restaurants.
You can either return to Apartment 2 by taking the same buses or proceed to Dingli Cliffs, Mdina and Rabat.

Saint Julian's
To visit nightlife in St. Julians or Paceville, you have to go to Valletta and catch bus to St Julians or 25 minutes by car/taxi. In St Julians there are also plenty of fine restaurants and a famous beach called St Georges Bay. If you happen to be on a weekend, Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday, you can return to Apartment 2 by bus N91. Stop bus stop tmiem.

If you happen to be in Valletta, take the Upper Barakka Lift and then take the ferry to Bormla.

The journey takes around 1hour and 30minutes by public transport or 50 minutes by car. From Cirkewwa take the ferry to Gozo.
Gozo is also well served by public transport. Interesting places include capital city Victoria, Ramla Hamra and Dwejra.

The journey takes around 1hour and 30minutes by public transport or 50 minutes by car. From Cirkewwa take the ferry to Gozo.
