Sumiyoshi-2-chōme-9 Sumiyoshi Ward
Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine is one of Japan's oldest shrines. Founded in the 3rd century before introduction of Buddhism, it displays a unique style of shrine architecture, called Sumiyoshi-zukiri.
This is one of the largest aquariums in the world, famous for its gigantic whale sharks. Hours open to visitors: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
