If you're lucky you can see dolphins around here. This is a small quiet windy beach where turtles come to lay their eggs. For locals it's a nice place to get away for a few hours.

After 13:00 u people the temperature rises. People slow down in Suriname, comparable to the Spanish siesta. Activity starts again after 16:00u but more in the evening.

There are a few busy places where there are men wandering around the street ''giving'' you a parking space and telling you to protect your car. I give them srd 1,- after I return just not to be bothered.

Taxi's in Surinam
Taxi's are the fastest way to get around. If you're going to a town far away like Albina, Moengo or Nickerie ask the taxi driver not to drive as fast. The roads are not built for the same speeds as in Europe or the USA
