One of my favorite all-vegan food trucks. They offer breakfast tacos (I always get the #1 add avocado) as well as a dinner menu including mac and cheese, queso and chips, burritos, nachos, etc. Bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. There is a truck offering coffee and other treats right next to it as well.

While Hopdoddy isn't exclusive to Austin, this is the first one we'd ever been to. With a line that can extend around the building, and plenty to do around SOCO before or after you've eaten, this burger spot is a local favorite and a must-visit. There are burger options for all (classic, specialty, and veggie), a great draft beer selection (if you like IPAs, go for the Conspiracy Theory), and their Parmesan Truffle Fries are incredible (invest in an extra Truffle Aioli sauce) or if you're feeling sweet/spicy, their Hot Honey and Sage sweet potato fries hit the spot.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar
1400 S Congress AveWhile Hopdoddy isn't exclusive to Austin, this is the first one we'd ever been to. With a line that can extend around the building, and plenty to do around SOCO before or after you've eaten, this burger spot is a local favorite and a must-visit. Capital City Bakery

Baker St. is a fun hangout with good food and good draft beer selections. They've got a nice patio with an outside bar as well. Inside has dart boards, pool tables, and a few arcade games. It's cozy, friendly, and has the occasional bingo night. This is my go-to if I want fish and chips.

3003 S Lamar BlvdBaker St. is a fun hangout with good food and good draft beer selections. They've got a nice patio with an outside bar as well. Inside has dart boards, pool tables, and a few arcade games. It's cozy, friendly, and has the occasional bingo night. This is my go-to if I want fish and chips.
NadaMoo! is a non-dairy ice cream brand you can normally find in Whole Foods and the like. They've got an adorable brick and mortar situated on South Lamar; its brick face is painted white with colorful sprinkles adorned to it. Their ice cream is delicious and highly recommended.

Our favorite Disc Golf course. It's near Barton Creek and it's got great views of the city. The course itself has a great mix of short and long holes. It can get very busy. We recommend downloading the app "U Disc" for course layouts and tips/reviews from other disc-golfers.

Another great Disc Golf course that we love. This one is south of the house. It's part of a larger park (Mary Moore Searight) that is quite secluded from the main road. Beware: this course will sometimes be reversed. There are normally Disc Golf veterans hanging around the entrance but this course is difficult for newbies even when it's not reversed. We recommend downloading the app "U Disc" for course layouts and tips/reviews from other disc-golfers.

Another great Disc Golf course that we love. This one is south of the house. It's part of a larger park (Mary Moore Searight) that is quite secluded from the main road. Beware: this course will sometimes be reversed. There are normally Disc Golf veterans hanging around the entrance but this course is difficult for newbies even when it's not reversed.
