Holbrook Island Sanctuary, a quick 10-15 minute drive from Oakland House, is chalk full of scenic hiking and biking trails. Holbrook is a nature preserve rich with wildlife in the town of Brooksville, featuring woods and wetlands. There are some lovely picnic spots.

This rustic, one-man winery is complete with orchard and tasting room. Tom offers tastings of a number of different products, including cider, sparkling rhubarb, blueberry, wildberry wine, and more! Tasting room hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Sow's Ear Winery
303 Coastal RdThis rustic, one-man winery is complete with orchard and tasting room. Tom offers tastings of a number of different products, including cider, sparkling rhubarb, blueberry, wildberry wine, and more! Tasting room hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is the original trail from Herrick Road to Lookout Rock. It is well marked with blue dots. Instead of accessing it from Herrick Road we suggest you take the Yellow Dot Trail from the gravel Oakland House Road opposite Grindstone Cottage.

The trail is steep and rocky in sections. A short spur trail heads down a broad and relatively level trail known as the “Old School House Road.”
A small parking lot and trailhead are located on the west side of Breezemere Rd, .8 miles from Rt. 175.
The Bluff Head trail is a pleasant and easy walk through the woods offering varying topography, elaborate stone work leading up to the bluff, and incredible panoramic views of the Bagaduce River.
A parking lot and the trail-head are located .2 miles down the Rope Ferry Road (past Strong’s Brewing) at the junction of Route 15/Mines Rd and Route 176/Southern Bay Rd.
