Mustafa Matohiti Street is known as Rruga e Salës among the locals. Rruga e Salës (Mustafa Matohiti Street) is one of few streets known by almost every person in Tirana and my favourite area in Tirana. In the Rruga e Salës it takes a while to choose between the cafes because there are many nice cafes in different styles and different colours like Irish Pubs, modern cafes and old style ones. I would definitely recommend the Cityart Cafe, Meduza and Casa Bar.

In Blloku you can still find the residence of the Albania’s communist leader Enver Hoxha. You might not believe it but for the locals Blloku is more popular and more expensive than the city centre of Tirana.
There are many nice cafes, restaurants, hotels and night clubs in the Blloku area. When I want to check out a fancy place in Tirana, then Blloku is the right place to go.
