Beaches
Lots of fun for the whole family! Relax, swim, float, play in the sand, collect shells & maybe find sea glass, look for dolphins & hermit crabs, walk the beach & boardwalk, play at the playground, fish or walk the pier, rinse off outside the public bathhouse. My favorite areas are Tappan & North 1st Street & Richmond & North 1st - less crowded & parking is on street. There are two piers, one is free, the other, a small fee. Try the Human Sundial at North 1st & Tappan Ave., rent a Kayak orJet Ski, take a look at the old lighthouse at the Pavillion. Three Picnic shelters are available to rent with tables & grill. For rental check the Hampton Gov website for this & other seasonal detailed information about the beach, park & pier.

Quite small beach in Buckroe, almost looks private, no lifeguards. Street parking - limited times. Take a left on North 1st Street, follow to the end. I like to go for long walks there, find sea nature & take photos of my finds.
