Naousa
The old capital of Paros, Lefkes is a much more residential, sleepy, and traditional Cycladic village, which is just now starting to get more attention as a beautiful and picturesque place to visit. Walk around in the early morning or evening when it’s not so hot and refresh yourself at one of the local cafes.
There are also great spots to eat, such as Geuseis it’s Sintrofias, Aranto, Flora, and Lefkiano.

Another spot for AMAZING food - best sea urchin pasta you will ever try, and some phenomenal starters as well. The bruschetta, salicornia salad, saganaki, and tuna steak are personal favourites here.
Oysters here are fresh and really delicious if that's your thing.

One of my favourite places to eat on the whole island - Kyria Chrisoula, the owner and cook, is honestly such a gem and so warm and smiley. Their food is true Greek homecooked food, absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. Amazing view from their porch as well. Definitely recommend coming here for lunch after getting lost in lefkes village.

Amazing fresh fish and overall delicious meze style taverna with really reasonable prices. It's a great choice especially if you're around this area in Monastiri or Kolimbithres for a swim and want a break for lunch. €

This is one of the most popular bars on the island - and for good reason! It's in an awesome spot with a great view, drinks are good too. It's a good place to go dancing with a group or even solo, get a bottle and spend hours there enjoying yourself. €€

Often difficult to find a table here so you may need to book in advance or go early, especially on windier days as this is inside the town and more protected than all other bars. €€

This is a great walk to the lighthouse at the northern tip of the island.
Petra farm is a beautiful organic regenerative farm near Naousa. They offer tours and tasting which are really interesting and the products you get to try during the tasting are delicious! A must do for those who are looking for an alternative experience on the island, and to learn about sustainable farming practices. Also the views from here are amazing. €€

Don't bother buying expensive bottled water, it's safe to drink from the tap!
Místní doprava
Rent a car
We recommend renting a car or motorbike to get around in the most convenient and fastest way, especially if there's a lot you want to see. There are buses but they don't run very regularly for some routes and may not be very reliable.
If you don't mind staying in the Naousa - Kolimbithres - Monastiri - Santa Maria area, then you can make do with just getting around on foot, using the small fishing boat that crosses over to Kolimbithres & Monastiri and occasionally using the bus to get to Santa Maria or Paroikia port.

Say "Horis kalamaki parakalo" to ask your server to bring your drink without a straw. Single-use straws have been banned since July 2021 in Greece. Please support businesses to see that their customers are just fine without them!
