Because it is lesser known we prefer this park because it is often less crowded. Also the park is just south of this BnB, but it is on the other side of a busy highway, so we recommend driving to the parking lot even though it is a few hundred yards away as well!

Completed by Penrose in 1937, the shrine is a 100 feet, five story observation tower that overlooks The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, and Garden of the Gods. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 for its artistic and architectural qualities. Lots of stairs to climb inside.
