Must see places in London

There are so many things to do and see in London that it is impossible to see or do everything in one visit. Here are my top picks. Check out also visitlondon.com for many more places to see and things to do while you are here.
Best views over London, entrance is free but you need to book tickets in advance. If there are no tickets available you can book a table at one of the 2 restaurants to gain access and you can stay after to enjoy the views.

London is well known for its many great museums but if there is one that you must visit is this one. Kids will love it also. The science museum is right next door, highly recommended for kids and the also popular V&A museum is just across the road. Nearest station is South Kensington. Another great museum is the british museum which houses ancient artefacts from around the world. Nearest station is holborn.

London has more parks than any other metropolis in the world. St James park is right in the centre and it’s probably the most beautiful one of them all. You can combine it within your walking sightseeing tour of Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Nearest stations Charring Cross and Westminster.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. Opened in 1894, the bridge allows automobiles and pedestrians to cross the River Thames, while also allowing river traffic to pass, as the bascules can be raised. You can go up the bridge for a small fee to admire the view and walk on the glass walk way looking down… it can be a bit scary but don’t worry the glass is very safe! :) kids will love it.
