The historical town of Cahir is within a 20 minute drive of Suir Valley Cottage. Here you will find the acclaimed Cahir Castle-location for the filming of The Green Knight, Excalibur and The Last Duel. It is open to the public almost all year round. Walk along the river to the Swiss Cottage, "a cottage orné"-built in the early 1800's.
Cahir Equestrian Centre offers you options on pony trekking in the local area.
Walk in the nearby Glengarra woods or venture further afield to the Mitchelstown caves.
Enjoy a Saturday morning at the Farmer Market.

Clearly visible from the town of Clonmel the hike to the Holy Year cross is a pleasant one. It generally takes about 3 hours to reach the cross but the views of Clonmel and surrounding areas are worth it.

Highlights close to Dungarvan include the Ballyvoyle tunnel and Aquaduct. Kilmacthomas is the half way point and has several opportunities for food.

14 The HeritageThis is a beautiful loop walk in Ardmore. Start by the Seafront carpark and continue along the cliffs until you return to the village again via the Round Tower. It is approx 4km and takes about 1 hr to complete. It is an easy walk but not buggy friendly.
Located close to Dungarvan town and just off the Greenway is Clonea beach. In the summer the is a shop open. Free parking is available but it can be busy in the summer, a paid option is usually available too.
