This is a great spot to for a drink and relax on the deck, or to eat good food and enjoy some live music. Fabian and I love walking from there down to the beach to watch the sunset. They open their doors at 7 am – providing wholesome and healthy breakfasts, a fine selection of coffee and tea blends and fantastic sea view in a natural setting.

If you're looking for a much quieter beach still with great surfing opportunities then head to Scarbs. The short 15 minute drive is absolutely beautiful. Great spot to take your shoes off and unwind.

There's more than enough space for everyone – surfers, beach walkers, dogs, horse riders, kite surfers and anyone up for a good session of sun tanning and chilling. It's not one of Cape Town's best swimming beaches as the conditions are often rough and the water temperature is chilly, however it's soft white sand and magical views are definitely worth the trip.

One of my favourite places! Amazing hikes, mountain biking trails and a Crystal clear dam to swim in and enjoy the views. Note that there is no reception and you also need to show your I.D and pay cash to enter the reserve. It's worth it I promise!

Rugged rocks and sheer cliffs towering more than 200 metres above the sea and cutting deep into the ocean, provide a spectacular background for the park’s rich bio-diversity. Cape Point falls within the southern section of Table Mountain National park. The natural vegetation of the areas – fynbos – comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. All nature reserves need to see your I.D and cash on entry

Cape Point falls within the southern section of Table Mountain National park. The natural vegetation of the areas – fynbos – comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. All nature reserves need to see your I.D and cash on entry
We love taking morning & evening strolls along the lake through Imhoffs Gift. This is part of our community & just a few minutes down the road so definitely make use of it 😁The bird life is also amazing and if you’re lucky you might spot otters, porcupines and flamingos! You can do a nice short walk along the lake or you can even pack a bag and walk to the beach.
There are lots of places to sit and relax along the lack so grab your coffee or bottle of wine and enjoy!

Sightseeing
you can either drive or enjoy a relaxed 4.5-km loop trail a few minutes from Bodhi Bungalow. This is a popular trail for walking and running. It leads to Slangkop (Snake head) Lighthouse which has been burning brightly since 1914, becoming fully automated in 1979. The tower's light shimmers 33 nautical miles out to sea from its 33 M circular construction. Guided tours take you up a steep internal spiral staircase that climbs this faithful beacon standing 100 feet from base to wire mesh balcony. Painted white like a nautical guardian angel this is the tallest cast iron tower in South Africa. Initially manned by 3 Lighthouse Keepers it is now maintained by one Senior Lighthouse Keeper who still washes the lighthouse windows. Tours delve into the history of of lighthouses on the South African coast and reveal why South Africa is one of the only countries still with Light House Keepers on staff. Climb to the top for a revolutionary few of the region, no torches required.
