Swimming at Nauthólsvík, where a hot spring flows into the ocean is more adventurous that a swimming pool but there are also hot-tubs and a changing area on the shore.
It's possible to get there by following the bike path on the Reykjavik side of the valley to the left and over the walking bridge.
Highly recommended.
