Flat Fork Creek Park

Flat Fork Creek Park is a glimpse at the return of real “retro play”. You know, when kids ran out into the woods, build forts, climbed trees, poked at things with sticks, tossed stones and ran free into the brush.
This year round park offers outdoor recreation like nothing else in Central Indiana. With two miles of progressive mountain bike courses, a 50 foot sledding hill that makes it the highest point in Hamilton County, a stocked fishing pond, 59 acres of green space and three tree houses connected by a paved trail system, free play is king!
COOL PART ALRET: The three wooden tree houses of varying styles provide “forts” for kids to stake out, call base or use pulleys and levers to raise a flag. One of these tree houses is fully ADA accessible and the other two have ADA paths that get very close. When the snow hits Central Indiana, you can bet that Flat Fork Creek Park will be buzzing with sleds, sleighs, tubes and disks — the zigzagged, paved path takes you 50 feet to the top of the hill, likely they highest hill you’ll find for sledding in these parts!
The covered shelter area features picnic tables, including wheel chair ready tables, and heated bathrooms. Parking is located in the park.

The Indianapolis track features one of our longest straights that open to superb overtaking opportunities, with plenty of twists and turns to challenge the most seasoned go-karting driver. The two meeting rooms provide a perfect environment for parties and business meetings, while the arcade games and air hockey table keep you entertained in-between your racing sessions and Events/Parties. The Paddock Lounge restaurant serves delicious food and beverages for all ages that will keep you fueled up.
This is a no brainer for older kids and/or adults that are in need of an adrenaline rush or energy release!

Midland has over 200 independent art and antique dealers housed within its walls from all around the midwest. This place is anything but ordinary and caters to all ages.

In the location of the former Splash Park, misters fill the pathways with a cooling fog while nature sounds from a tropical rain forest play in the background, creating an ideal setting for a close encounter with sloths, which are among the planet’s slowest-moving mammals — so slow, in fact, that algae can grow on their fur in the wild.

Cataract Falls is a waterfall located in northern Owen County in the west central part of the U.S. state of Indiana. The largest waterfall by volume in the state, it is part of the Lieber State Recreation Area. Cataract Falls consists of two sets of waterfalls on Mill Creek separated by about 1 mile.
The state of the art Aquatic Center is open during the Memorial Day to Labor Day recreation season. The Aquatic Center has a zero entrance pool, water bubblers and a tornado water slide. There are also shelters, a volleyball court and a playground. Other family fun opportunities include hiking trails, boat access to Cagles Mill Lake and a campground. The 115 Class A and 94 Class B campsites make this a lovely place to visit. Plan a picnic in the activities field, where you will find horseshoe pits, basketball courts, and plenty of play areas for the kids.

The cinnamon rolls are literally to dieeeeee for. Everyone says this but they're wrong and I'm right haha. Seriously, imagine croissants and cinnamon rolls having babies...booom! They're so delightful, buttery & light, and not too sweet. If you buy a roll and don't enjoy it, I will personally refund the price of the cinnamon roll!

2. Amelia's Fletcher Place
Both spots are great depending on your mood. Windsor Park has a more remote feel that's by a cute plant and Indy shop, whereas Fletcher Place is located closer to downtown and offers great opportunity to explore surrounding shops.
