Food Scene
Our favourite place for Mexican dinner/lunch. Very family friendly. Have colouring-ins and pencils for the kids to keep them occupied while waiting for food. If you like it a little quieter at dinner time, go early (they open at 5:30pm). Weekend nights (especially later) are pretty busy and noisy. Lunch times during the week are usually pretty quiet. My personal favourite is the Baja (main) and a Queso Fundido to share is a must if you love cheese like us :).

The best thing is Bakery on O'Connell is a bakery and cafe open 24/7 so you can get a yummy snack and coffee and catch up with family and friends any time! They specialise in the pie floater and are the creator of the Nutella Heart. Intrigued? It's a nice relaxing walk from Melbourne St and the walk back will help you feel even better after your indulgence at the bakery :).
Walking here and back for a late night treat was one of my favourite things to do with my partner, before we had kids and couldn't go out at night together anymore ;)

Run or walk along the Torrens to get some fresh air and explore Adelaide. The Torrens is the main river that runs through Adelaide. You can follow it all the way out West to West Beach where it meets the sea, or follow it East into the Adelaide Hills/Athelstone area. You can also explore the Torrens via paddleboat or Popeye (docks just South of Adelaide Oval).

It is a much loved art sculpture created by Bert Flugelman and donated to the City of Adelaide in 1977. Locals know them as the "Mall's Balls" and it is used as a meeting place in Rundle Mall. It provides great sensory fun for kids as well, as you can touch it, tap it and listen to the echos inside, look at the distorted reflections and run around it. Simple fun!
