In the centre of New Romney, this is a large Norman church dating back to the 11th century. Bishop Odo, a close relation of William the Conqueror, owned much of the lands in this area.

Romney Marsh is quite unique. With its gentle byways you can drive, cycle, walk or hike around this beautiful part of Kent and visit the various villages with their Norman heritage. It is flat, therefore easy cycling! Excellent sand beaches at nearby Dymchurch and Greatstone. A 13-mile beach-side walking-and-cycling esplanade runs from almost our front door to Folkestone.

This is a bird wildlife sanctuary with large man-made lakes. Very tranquil and the centre is very educative with much information on birds spotted locally. Very keen birdwatchers usually in attendance. Excellent shop also.
