This pub and restaurant is close to the house. There is a lovely restaurant out the back of the pub, it has a nice sunny outdoor area as well. It serves lots of daily specials. Great for lunch, dinner, or just a few drinks in the bar area.

A great pub for any occasion but it really is a must-see during the TT. You'll have a great view of the TT course and the bikes coming down off the mountain. Be sure to arrive early on race days as it gets very busy here and the road gets closed of course. You can use the back road to get in and out during the road closures; this again can get busy. It's best to arrive early, bring a few beers and radio and set up your spot for the day! Some seating areas will be erected, so if you would prefer a more comfortable seat you'll need to reserve one in advance. Otherwise bring a picnic blanket or chair.

This is a great place to go for either lunch, dinner, or drinks. I've never had a bad experience. The service is great. They have an extensive food menu and wine / cocktail list. Usually quite busy on a Friday / Saturday evening. They also have large booths which can be booked for a special occasion.

Parks & Nature
A good place to take the kids or if you're interested in wildlife. Though they don't house anything too exotic, you might spot some wild Manx wallabies who have escaped from the park and have bred in the surrounding area.

It's always worth spending a few hours at the South of the Island and Port Erin beach is a lovely spot on a sunny day. In the summer you can ride the traditional steam train from Douglas to Port Erin to make your experience even more special.
