Bunk room sleeps a total of 8 people; you will be sharing room with other guests. 1st floor. Deck off the room where you can enjoy your coffee and watch the many birds that frequent the hostel. This private room w/locking door features a single twin bed only for one person. Doubling up is not allowed in this room. It’s located directly adjacent to the TV lounge common area and convenient to a bathroom. Features a shared lounge, and kitchen used by other Air BNB guests. The host has a cat that lives in the hostel. All other amenities in the common area are shared. Hiker, skier, college and graduate students, international, and conversationalist love this place.

Banditry of Chickadees at the Acorn

The Acorn is part of the 60 acre, 137 year old Oakland House property that has been operated as a summer vacation destination since it was opened to guests on July 4th, 1889. Once an ice house and even a casino, the Acorn is a quaintly rustic piece of history we hope you enjoy! Banditry of Chickadees is a private room with one queen and one twin bed and is tastefully decorated with antique furnishings. Room is accessed from an exterior staircase off the porch.
