Experience a rustic glamping adventure in this 120 yr old rustic cabin on the border of Jay Cooke State Park(~15min from Duluth), you’ll be surrounded by nature and wildlife, in the comfort of a Queen bed. Located a short ~1/4 mile hike from parking spot, there is a shared porta-potty (~50yrds away, but NO running water or shower). Guests provide their own water. Rental is NOT heated. Rental has A/C & limited power. Guest must climb ladder to bedroom loft. Outdoor space near cabin is shared.

Bring your boat, there is a private dock and the fishing is great! Enjoy the 2 kayaks and canoe, go for a swim or toss some horseshoes. After playing in the lake all day take an outdoor shower.. there is nothing like it! Then sit by the fire pit and enjoy the view. Make some memories, that's what lake life is all about!

There's a bend in the Brule River called Boxcar Hole — a designated Wisconsin DNR fish refuge where fish congregate in protected waters. Locals know it. Fly fishers dream about it. And this cabin sits right on it — log walls, wood stove crackling, knotty pine everywhere. The Brule is Wisconsin's most famous trout river, and you'll have direct access from the backyard. Upon your arrival to Buffalo Valley you will receive a warm welcome with an escort to your house by the host, in the beautiful north woods. At check in you will receive a key to the cabin. (Please note that the house capacity is 6 guests, no exceptions. We also have a NO pet policy.) There is a guide book that gives you all the information you will need. You will love how remote you are, yet so close to town. Enjoy the fire pit and sauna in the comforts of the wilderness!
