Casa Luna, Desert Retreat

Casa Luna was originally built as a yoga studio. Accommodations include: privacy, and space for an immersive desert experience with excellent star gazing. Located less than two miles west of the Terlingua Ghostown, this space offers unobstructed views of the Chisos Mountains, a full kitchen, and full separate bathroom. A 1,400 square foot open studio space with three queen sized beds accommodates six people comfortably. Not suitable for mobility impaired, or children under 12. We live on site.

Our Casita was built on the foundation of a miner’s dwelling in the historic Ghostown with modern amenities & a short 8 miles from the Nat’l Park. Offers easy access, all-weather road, private patio, firepit, stargazing chairs, wifi, water, electricity & generator for occasional power outages. All that & within walking distance of restaurants, coffee, gift shops & galleries - yet far enough away to provide a private space. Hosted by long-time locals who offer insights, not just a code to a door!

The Perch is a retro meets modern, fully off-grid “cabin-inspired” home — Set into the cliff edge of a 60+ million-year-old limestone plateau, you’ll have one-of-a-kind views overlooking the historic Terlingua Ghost Town and into the expanse of the Chisos mountain range of Big Bend National Park. Nestled on 20 acres of pristine Chihuahuan desert, it is the perfect property for couples, a small family, a group of hikers or anyone who wants to enjoy the solitude and wonder of the Big Bend region.

Nestled against a quiet hill and overlooking the Eastwood Mesa, our trio of stucco casitas offers a serene retreat 17 minutes from Big Bend National Park. Each one-room adobe casita is a blend of simplicity and comfort. Featuring minimalist interiors and distinctive arched doors amid desert scenery. We recently added basic cooking utensils, pots, pans and a one burner induction stove top. You can rent 1, 2 or all 3 of the casitas on property. Message us if you need help with a property buyout.

Built by miners a hundred years ago, the cabin has been comfortably updated while keeping its authentic feel. Its spacious porch affords the best view of the mountains of Big Bend National Park as well as the stars at night. Although it has an indoor bedroom and bathroom, guests love the outdoor shower as well as the open air bed on the patio.
