The Speed was closed for several years to allow for a massive renovation. It was well worth the wait. Special Exhibits and Friday night "After Hours" events happen with regularity. The Speed also houses an arthouse cinema. Go to speed museum dot org and click the "cinema" link for their currents offerings and showtimes.

This stunning Art Museum is filled with a variety of different types of art which is located on University of Louisville's campus. The Speed Art Museum is welcome to absolutely everyone from students to tourists.
