This is hiking distance from the chalet. I don’t necessarily recommend the actual lookout tower, it’s rather industrial looking, though if it is staffed, the rangers might have time to give you a quick tour / point out the view. But if you hike in that general direction from the chalet you will enjoy the pine forests and views at the top of the ridge.

Not much of a hike but def worth looking at for the view. Some days you will find yourself above the clouds and makes for a surreal experience .
