This thermal swimming pool offers a good pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and is a great way to meet the locals and discuss the topic of the day!

Indoor/outdoor geothermal public pool. The indoor pool was designed by state architect Guðjón Samúelsson (Hallgrímskirkja Church, University of Iceland, National Theater) and opened in 1937. The pool was recently expanded and now includes an outdoor pool as well.

One of the best things about Iceland is all the thermol swimmingpools. They say in any neighborhood there is one swimmingpool is walking distance. You are very lucky because Reykjaviks oldest swimmingpool is just around the corner. Sundhöll Reykjavíkur or the Swimming Palace as it would be directly…

Kostel
“Situated in the centre of Reykjavík, it is one of the city's best-known landmarks and is visible throughout the city. State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson's design of the church was commissioned in 1937. He is said to have designed it to resemble the trap rocks, mountains and glaciers of Iceland's landscape”

Bar
“Kaffibarinn is one of the oldest bars in town. The tourist to local hipster ratio has understandably shifted in favour of the tourists in the last decade or so. But that does not seem to make Kaffibarinn any less hip. In fact it sort of adds a new level of coolness. Kaffibarinn at the weekends is an experience you will either love or hate. But if you don´t fancy the partying crowds at night, but you like the sound of Kaffibarinn´s warm, dingly charm, then check it out in the daytime for a cosy coffee or draught beers on offer.”
