Great LGBTQ+ bar not far from the flat. Its been there for ever and does decent food and nice drinks. Its on the way to Arthurs Seat so after a walk around the park its a nice place to stop for a drink on the way back.

This is our local. It’s quite a unique place as it manages to maintain its status as Edinburgh’s best known gay bar alongside being just an honest-to-goodness pub where everyone is welcome. Great real ales, a fine selection of whiskies and whatever tipple takes your fancy. The pub grub isn’t bad…

“Its a bit further than The Mash Tun, but does some really great food from a tiny kitchen at the end of the bar. Its just a cool place to hand out and have a drink and some food. Not the over priced stuff you get in the very centre of Edinburgh and much more of a local hangout. If you cut through the shopping mall area, its only 5 mins walk from the flat, and on the way into town. ”
