Aska Modern Cabin

Check in time starts at 5:00 pm and lasts till 8:00 pm. Aska is a part of Hlíð Ferðaþjónusta is a complex of accomodations on the northern shore of lake Mývatn, right beneath the airport. We are situated about one kilometer away from the lakeside, in the middle of a 300 years old lava field and with a fantastic view over the lake. We offer: - Campground: The electricity is accessible and warm showers are free of charge for guests. - Hostel: sleeping bag accommodation (bedlinen not included) or Family Rooms (with bedlinen included) in our Hostel, - Small huts Mini Cottage: 2 people 9m2 cabin which consists on sleeping area with two beds inside. All of the facilities (toilets, showers, kitchen) are situated around our campsite, all of those are around 100-300 m away from your hut. - Bed&Breakfast: Room of 12m2 contains private bathroom. - Cottegs/apartments: 4 peoples fully equipped summerhouses with a wonderful view over the lake and lava field. - Aska deluxe cabin: 2 peoples fully equipped house with a wonderful view over the lake and lava field. You can rent bikes for either one day or ½ a day. Maps with hiking and bike routes are available from our service center. A wonderfully scenic 37 km long country road runs around the lake, ideal for biking.

Grásteinn guesthouse, Hornahóll cottage

Á hjara veraldar bjóðum við uppá gistingu í krúttlegum heimasmíðuðum smáhýsum. Full þjónusta og umhverfisvæn stefna. Grásteinn guesthouse er staðsett á sauðfjárbúinu Holti, Þistilfirði og er gestum velkomið að taka þátt í bústörfum hjá okkur. Holt stendur hátt í landinu og er því einstakt útsýni af bæjarhlaðinu, yfir víðlendar heiðar og strandlengju Þistilfjarðar. Húsin eru 25 fm og vel útbúin, með eldhúsi, baðherbergi og sófahorni. Morgunverður er framreiddur í körfum og er innifalinn í verði.

Ásinn-Brennistaðir 4 is 90m2 house for a group of up to 7 people +crib (year 2025). The house is located in untoucted nature next to a field on Brennistaðir farm, about 20 km from Egilsstaðir in the direction to Borgarfjörður eystri. The farm is sheep farm. We live about 400 m distance from Ásinn. Fully equipped kitchen, small sitting room, spacious bathroom (washing machine and dryer), 4 bedrooms. Good looking view, cairns, bird live, streams, family-friendly environment in peaceful nature.

Ásgarður - A cozy home by the seaside

Summer 2026: As our house is old we are constantly doing maintenance. This summer the maintenance has affected the garden so we are sorry to inform that it is not in perfect shape. Our home is old and quite small but very cozy. It is located by the seaside in our small village with a view over the fjord; the sea and the mountains. Please note our village is a bit out of the way of the Ring Road.
