Everything in this off-grid cabin was hand made using locally resourced lumber and supplies. Enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout the year - sunrise to sunset. Located just 8 miles from the town of Mountain View where you can take part in our many local festivals, listen to music, or just check out the beautiful Ozark Mountains.

We provide firewood for the firepit, lighter and 1 bag of charcoal for the grill, and a coffee/cocoa/tea station.

The house is on the National Historic register and was built in 1910. The rental is the entire upstairs of the house. There is a private entrance off the front porch which leads to a completely updated living quarters. Be sure to review driving directions as navigation apps are not always reliable in this area. You will drive approx. 4 miles on maintained gravel road. There is not a more comfortable cabin for rent in the Ozarks. Give us a try -- you will not want to leave!

Calico Bluff American Cabin

Our cabin sits on a bluff about 60-80 feet above the White River with a beautiful view from back deck! This deck is literally on the edge of the bluff! 180 degree view of river and beautiful pasture across river from cabin. Our cabin is one of three that sit fairly secluded on land with private road. We own the middle cabin & 6.6 acres around and across gravel road from it. Signage alerts public they are trespassing. Very quiet.
