As you arrive at Carlingville Cottage, the gate frames more than just the driveway — it marks the start of something slower, simpler, and more grounded. With prairie grasses swaying, the creek rushing nearby and sky stretching for miles, this sets the tone for the stay ahead; quiet walks, crackling fires, and the kind of calm that lingers long after you leave. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck or unwinding by the firepit under the stars, this is where quiet moments meet rustic comfort.

Private, Furnished Pet-Friendly

The Master bedroom has a double-sized bed, TV/stand, clothes closet and a dresser/night-stand with drawers. There is a sofa-bed in the Living Room. The Bathroom has a tub (with shower). Pets are welcome, and in the back yard is a dog run/kennel. ***Please note that there is no wifi or cable/satellite service for the TV.*** Many upgrades have been made but I don't have updated pictures of this particular unit yet. Also, the suite is actually a mirror image of the suite shown in the pictures.

Perfect Retreat is a 4 bedroom rental home located in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. The house is centrally located close to restaurants, grocery, gas station, banks and pharmacy but still has a very private setting. It is a walking distance to the lake where you can go fishing, swimming or just relax and enjoy the view. Shoal Lake is also less than an hour drive to the RIDING MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK making a perfect day trip to the park. We gladly accept all kinds of clients, big group or small group.

Enjoy one of the most beautiful views that Souris can offer. Our cozy one bedroom loft with a Queen bed and a sofa bed can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids. Sit in the balcony facing the iconic Swinging Bridge where you can enjoy the view all year long. You can cross the bridge and enjoy the Souris hospitality and shopping at Crescent Avenue, go exploring the Victoria Park to see our exotic Peacocks or enjoy the swimming pool and picnic areas. This stylish cabin is perfect for trips to the lake or stay right beside the Oak Island Golf Course (18 Hole Championship Course less than 900 ft walk from front door)! Put supper on the smoker and enjoy a round of golf, then relax on the patio or sit around backyard bonfire. The Oak Lake beach and Provincial Park less than a 5 minute walk. Oak Lake Marina is a 3 minute drive. 1 King, 2 Queen beds, full kitchen, TV (Netflix, ROKU), patio, hi-speed wifi Could rent 2 kayaks for additional fee

Rustic Cabin on the Souris River

The River Cabin is available year round. This private cabin comes equipped with 2 bathrooms and full kitchen. In summer you can relax on the deck or take a stroll in the countryside. If visiting in the winter don't forget your cross country skis, and ice skates or curl up by the fireplace with a good book. The large loft bedroom has a queen bed and a soaker tub. There are 2 downstairs bedrooms one with queen bed the other has double bed. Very cozy cabin with artful antique décor.

Purchasing many items from the SuperThrift Brandon to give new purpose & life to our home has been the ultimate recycling. Many community members have donated items. Using our 1900s piano as a bedframe & featuring old radios, sewing machines & photos from Oak Lake's past make us unique. Flat Creek Inn is bright & cheery & waiting for you to gather.
