I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. Two minutes walk to Courtenay Place, Te Papa, Tākina Conference Centre and the waterfront, it's perfectly placed for exploring Wellington on foot. After dark the entertainment quarter and some of Wellingtons best restaurants are at your doorstep.

"Newtown Oasis" Self contained + breakfast

Our BnB is homely, a little quirky & best suited to those who travel relatively light. Self service breakfast is included. There are 2 spaces (bedroom ± separate kitchen/bathroom) a few steps apart & linked by a covered walkway. The cosy bedroom has a queen size bed, desk for work or eating, good WiFi & comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking & the bathroom has a great shower. The nook outside the bedroom is perfect for a morning coffee.

It's a walk up to a special view of Wellington

Nestled against the bush just above our home, our studio offers an amazing view of Wellington Harbour. Reaching it requires a brief uphill walk, but for those who enjoy the outdoors and don’t shy away from a little exercise, the reward is well worth it. The breathtaking views and cosy accommodation make the effort part of the experience. That said, if you prefer level access or are travelling with particularly heavy luggage, our studio may not be the best fit.

Self-contained Studio-Wadestown

Newly built downstairs self-contained studio unit in a century old Wadestown bungalow. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided. Unit has a separate entrance, and guests are welcome to share the deck and garden areas set amongst the bushclad hills. Centrally located being a 25-minute walk or less than 10-minute bus ride to the city and Sky Stadium. Bus stop at the gate. Approximately a 10-minute car ride to the ferry terminals. Free on street parking.
