Quiet, comfortable haven in London

Welcome to my family home. A lovely semi-detached house, recently refurbished to a high spec, in a quiet and peaceful tree lined road in Wembley Park. It is the ideal location not only for visitors to Wembley Stadium and Arena events, but also for tourists who want to spend time sight-seeing in London without paying very high central London hotel prices, and having to stay in busy, noisy, traffic filled areas. Because my house is located only a 7 minute walk from Wembley Park underground station, you can get to most places all over London in less than 30 minutes from here. Wembley Park station has two main underground lines, the Metropolitan line and the Jubilee line, both of which take you to nearly all parts of London directly, with trains running every 2-3 minutes. It is only 12 minutes into the very centre, Baker Street, where many of the other underground lines intersect, so you really can get everywhere very quickly from here, with ease and comfort, and yet be staying in a very quiet, residential road that feels more like being in the countryside than being only a stone's throw from busy central London. My house is only a 7 minute walk to Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena, so it is the ideal location for anyone coming to sporting events, football or concerts, as well as business people wanting a short journey into town or the city, or tourists wanting to travel and do sightseeing from a comfortable home within easy reach of everywhere. It is also only a 45 minute journey direct on the Jubilee line to the Olympic Park, Stratford. I am a 7 minute walk from the local tube station Wembley Park (Zone 3), which takes you to * Central London in 12 minutes * the city in 20 minutes * Wembley Park is also close to the M1 and North Circular. * Easy to get here from the airports and all major network train stations. When you book with me, you will have the master double bedroom upstairs, which is large and beautifully light, with a very comfortable superking-size bed (three sizes larger than a double bed). The room is made up on your arrival with fresh bedlinen and towels, hairdrier, and complimentary toiletries and water. There is a modern, stylish bathroom, with bath (and hand shower), shower and toilet, and a second toilet downstairs. I have another lovely double room which is also available for booking. It is equally light and airy with a view over the garden, with a superking-size bed, made up with fresh bedlinen and towels, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries and water. I will make you a continental breakfast each day, consisting of choice of cereals, fruit and natural yoghurts, fresh fruit salad, toast, croissants, buns and crumpets, selection of jams and marmalades, honey etc...orange juice, coffee and a selection of tea. I cater for all allergy and food sensitivities if required. I also provide you with a packed breakfast if you have to leave very early in the morning before breakfast is served. You are welcome to use the kitchen to make lunch for your day out, or for your evening meal in, instead of going to a restaurant. It is well equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier which are at your disposal if you wish to use them. There is a large garden which you are also welcome to use, with a small table and two chairs-ideal for breakfasts on sunny mornings, or a drink in the evening, and a large garden dining table seating 6 for al fresco meals when the weather allows such pleasure. A great way to relax after a long day. There are two very nice living rooms with comfortable sofas and TV for you to enjoy, and I can also supply free WiFi connection. I offer parking on my private drive, which has space for two cars and costs £40 for an overnight stay, paid in cash on arrival. Street parking is not allowed on 'Event Days', ie.when something is on at the stadium, and they are very strict about this. There are local car parks which start at about £50 I believe,but for overnight stays they might cost more(?), though they get booked up very quickly. There are several local restaurants within a 5 minute walk, offering Indian, Greek/Lebanese, Mediterranean, cafes and pubs, as well as local shops, and both Wembley High Street and the large retail outlet area surrounding the stadium are only an 8 minute walk away, offering a large selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels, as well as a very large park. I am a semi-retired Art Director working in advertising and often work from home, and my son who is a carpenter, often visits and stays with me. I have lived in London all my life, love it passionately and have a good knowledge of how to get to most places, so I can help you with your journey planning. Homely room in leafy Ealing.

Enjoy 'village life' in our capital city! If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed homestay, in a lovely area of West London, just a 15 minute walk to the tube, this is the choice for you! We live in a cul-de-sac in Pitshanger Village, North Ealing, just minutes from the delightful Pitshanger Lane shopping street on the E2 and E9 bus routes and a 10-15 minute walk to Ealing Broadway station. Oxford Street and Notting Hill are 28 and 20 minutes by tube respectively.I have lived in London all my life and will be happy to give you any information and advice you need. If you wish to improve your English, I may also be able to give you English lessons, as that is my area of expertise The room features a very comfortable single bed with new IKEA mattress, a spacious chest of drawers, a built-in wardrobe plus bookcase and stereo/cds if you want to use them. For a second guest a separate bed can be added to the room at an additional cost. There is a small desk for a laptop with a chair and lamp. We must insist on NON-SMOKERS! Check-in is after 16:00 Mon - Fri and after 14:00 Sat - Sun. There is a TV with 122 channels in the room and full wireless internet access plus the option of free parking, should you need it. Breakfast is continental, cereal, etc., and you will be able to store food and drink in the fridge. Due to unfortunate experiences with past guests, the kitchen is not available for cooking. (We are no longer covered by insurance.) Guests are welcome to use cutlery and crockery for food brought in from outside.The bathroom has a comfortable shower. I speak French and German fluently and I look forward to hosting you and introducing you to our great city and our beautiful local area.

My house is in a wonderful part of London with easy access to the centre of town by train or tube. It is close to the River Thames in the leafy borough of Richmond and has many historic places to visit plus great shops and restaurants. Its a great place to base yourself when visiting London. Easy bus route to Hampton Court as well as a 5 min walk to Strawberry Hill station. Happy to provide a continental breakfast; there are also many local cafes in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham and Teddington.

You will enjoy staying in the quiet part of our neighbourhood on the outskirts of Brent. You will have easy access to the Jubilee, Bakerloo and Metropolitan lines. It will take you 5 minutes from Kingsbury to Wembley Stadium by train, and 10-15 minutes to get to Northwick Park Hospital and Harrow Town centre by local bus. There are a number of local amenities in the area that are easily accessible and you can always find time to explore Central London which is a 30 minute train ride away.
