Take it easy on the porch in a Hollywood hideaway

Our guests like to call The Porch House a 'tree house'. We think it's because the 40 foot long porch walks into the canopy of a massive rubber tree that stands alongside it. Or maybe because with the french doors open in the bedroom you feel like you're sleeping in a king size nest. But our 'nest' has creature comforts as well... private bedroom, shower, full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker, tea pot, wifi, and Netflix. The main room has vaulted ceilings, a skylight and 2 ceiling fans to keep you cool. Simple but cozy decor make it a great place to relax. 3 sets of french doors along the porch side open up to make the place feel twice as big... Sunset is the perfect time to open up all the the doors, listen to the birds and let the light and breeze go throughout the house. You don't feel like you are in the center of Hollywood. You get the entire back house to yourself with private entrance and private porch. We are always ready to answer any questions and help with traveling suggestions but also respect your privacy so if you don't contact us we will not be bothering you. This property is located in central Hollywood—a few minutes away from Griffith Park, the Hollywood sign, and Universal Studios but nestled in a neighborhood that's walking distance to different restaurants and markets. 10 minute walk to the metro that connects to LAX, Chinese theatre, Santa Monica beach. Many bus stops on every corner. We love our neighborhood even though we are located in a central Hollywood it doesn't feel touristic or fake. We have many different ethnicities in our neighborhood which makes it so unique with different delicious authentic cousins and cultures.

Charming Guest Room in 1907 Cottage on Russian Hill

Begin a relaxing morning out on the porch, then head to the local international market and delis. This fully-equipped suite features a comfy 4-poster bed, kitchenette, and charming dining area. It's all the comforts of home with a 20th-century vibe. Annie’s Cottage offers charming accommodations within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, China Town, North Beach and other San Francisco favorites. Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.

Return from a sunset hike and refresh under a rain shower. Bali Temple is a beautiful custom home located on the 1990 lava flow, right on the ocean. Luxurious appointments, including the Eastern King Tempur-Pedic bed, the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a 6' bathtub, and incredible expansive ocean views, make Bali Temple a one-of-a-kind destination. Bali Temple is its own self contained home. The shared laundry room is located next to the main entry door. As little or as much as my guests wish. Right out the back door is 500 acres of state land for hiking over lava fields by the ocean. You will need a rental car during your stay. Before I created Bali Temple, this property was a part of a Buddhist's Meditation Retreat. It still carries this peaceful and tranquil ambiance to this day! By the time my guests leave Bali Temple, they feel refreshed and renewed. This is a deeply relaxing setting.
